I've been dealing with Long Covid /MCAS / dysautonomia since last year. I was having severe fatigue so I had a mobile IV of regular saline. It was supposed to be done within 30-45 minutes as stated on their site but the guy did it rapidly in 3 minutes. My heart started racing and the next day I woke up with full body jerks, my muscles were burning and deteriorated overnight, I had to go to the ER twice because I thought I was dying. Anyway, that was 4 months ago and since then my muscles have not returned. I've also been bedbound since and have trouble walking.

Why would a rapid saline IV cause muscle atrophy? And do you presume it's temporary or permanent damage? Is this something a rheumatologist would be able to run tests for?
