The best looking patch cables system at Superbooth 2026 :)
Look how colours of sliders match patch cables and how neat the routing is.

I am scared.... I have been watching many videos about modular synths lately. And I have sold some of my gear and have a sum to spend on the new ones. I feel I am getting hooked but I know what are the consequences of going down this rabbit hole. Some rational part of me still wants to buy at least a semi-modular one, but the other is pushing me towards amazing world of "lego" blocks. I am saying to myself "I will just build something tiny and we will see" but I know it is not true :) Dear YT, please stop showing me mylar videos.
I would like to ask for your recommendations of great sample packa I can purchase for my TV. Techno, Melodic Techno and EDM. Some general electronic music too.
I am not a fan of factory ones and would like to get hold of some quality drums and synths/keys. I multisampled Pianoteq and some synths. I also got some from EZbot and Red Means Recording.
Of course, they don’t need to be for TV - just general recommendations of sample packs that are highly valued in the community as I am overhelmed with options.
Greetings from Austria and Italy!
I want to autosample Pianoteq on TV. Please advise what are the most optimal settings? Range & Resolution. I did some experiments in the past but I am new to sampling.
An opportunity has come up to expand my collection with one more piece of gear. Right now:
I’m considering two very different directions:
1. Upgrade the One+ to an MPC XL
2. Elektron Tonverk
I know this is highly subjective, especially since I’m currently very much into techno and mono analog gear. Still, the XL is tempting because it looks like an incredibly powerful machine for creating complete tracks from start to finish and it probably is great for Techno too. What would you do in my situation? 🤔
Hi! This is my current dawless setup, and I’d love to get some advice on expanding it. I’m looking to add a mono synth that would be fun for hands-on knob tweaking during loops and potentially useful for live performance in the future (mostly techno).
Right now I’m torn between the Moog Messenger and the Dreadbox Typhon.
Moog Messenger
Dreadbox Typhon
If I go with the Typhon, I could also add a Novation Launch Control for controlling my iPad, MPC, and Syntakt.
What would you recommend for this setup and use case?
When TR-1000 drum machine was released I was always curious why it is 4 times the price of TR-8S. When I was at Superbooth 2026 I asked Andy from Roland about these two machines:
It is not a sponsored video. Just curious.
If you liked it, you can find more videos from Superbooth - including the ones about UDO DMNO synth and Redshift 6. https://www.youtube.com/@MusicJourneyWithPaul
Moog didn't show up at the Superbooth 2026 as they weren't ready with their new release.
In the past they were launching new models usually between May and July.
Recently, they have dropped the price of Moog Messenger to the Black Friday price.
I know it is just a wild guess, but if I were Moog I would release a model that would sit somewhere between the Messenger and Muse. Or more of a a stripped down version the Muse - a polysynth with 5 voices. Something similar to TEO-5/Take-5. With the crowded market of mainstream and boutique producers, you usually try to cover each market niche.
I would love to have Muse but I don't want to spend that much. Something "in the middle" would be perfect. In the meantime I think I will go with the Messenger to pair it with my Syntakt.
So let's have some fun and guess - what will Moog's next synth be? Will it be released this year?
I had a chance to sit down with George Hearn, the owner and lead engineer at UDO Audio at Superbooth. We started talking about the DMNO synth but very quickly shifted toward topics like:
- there is no point in building hardware that only emulates software synths/VSTs
- that most of us just buy synths for fun and pure joy - only a small percentage of lucky individuals will make a living from it
- why running a boutique synth manufacturer is hard
- why minimalism is crucial to synth design
- what is great about entering the state of flow.
Not sponsored, on anything. Just curious.
This kind of content doesn’t usually perform well with YT algorithms but I believe the discussion about creativity and our approach to music is always a good thing. We can talk about GAS all day as it gives us a lot of adrenaline but at the end of the day, what really matters is why we do what we do.

When did they reduce the price of the Messenger? It costa around the same as Korg Modwave. When it was released it was much more expensive. Are they planning a replacement? Current price is a bargain for a Moog with a keyboard.
UPDATE. It was around $900 in Poland when it was released. More like Sequential Fourm.
