G7 and TSlimx2

Hi ya, So I just started my first G7 session on my Tslim. With my G6 I always started the session on my pump because I feel that prevented signal loss if my phone wasn't near me. When starting the G7 I had to go through the tutorial on my phone app, so therefore it started there. Then I proceeded to try and start it on my Tandem with the code on the side of the applicator but it WOULD NOT allow me to put the 0 in at the end.....so then I tried it with NO CODE and now it is telling me the transmitter expired!!! UGGGG. Before I did anything this morning, I deleted the g6 app on my phone and the bluetooth sessions in my phone's settings. Any advice to fix this before I call Dexcom?

Dexcom G7

So as I said earlier, I am getting ready to insert this and the video does not show the abdomen as a place to insert the sensor. Does anyone on here use the abdomen? I have always used it for my G6.

Good Article Regarding Mattress Construction

I'm just getting ready to pull the trigger on my mattress purchase and was doing some additional due diligence and came across this article I wish I had seen earlier, so I am sharing for all you seekers is can it helps anyone. This has nothing to do with the mattress company, just the information on coils and comfort layers.

Advice Please

Hello All,

I know I can't be the only person out there dealing with this so I am hoping someone can make the best recommendation for my situation.

My 86 year old mother is really starting to decline mentally. I spent four tortuous hours yesterday trying to help her setup her new computer, get into accounts she was locked out of and explain how to do 2F over and over again. She just doesn't seem to understand it anymore so I got the idea of getting her a security key with NFC for her new phone and computer. Ideally I would like a bio metric key with NFC but I can't seem to find that option.

I also tried to show her how my password vault works to see if that was an option, but it's not. Again, she just doesn't get it. She does use Google to store some passwords.

Is there anyone out there that has faced this? Any recommendations of the easiest and safest way to go about it and which choice of equipment would be best? I know I will need two identical keys so I can keep a backup here at my home. Is there anything I should be aware of that would create a problem in the future?

She uses a Pixel phone and Windows Dell laptop. She does her banking (God help me) and shops on Amazon as well as browsing and email. I was thinking bio metric in case she loses her key or someone in the independent living facility get their hands on the physical key.

IMO, the industry is going to need to take these issues seriously. We should have senior controls just like parental controls or something that enables us to help our elderly that are forced into using all this technology.

Any advice, tutorials and product recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Some friendly advice for Comcast

My mother in law died in April. My husband brought a death certificate and account information to the Comcast store to cancel her service and delete her account. We are getting several emails talking about needing to pay her bill and now finally, a cancellation notice. This really shouldn’t happen. You need better communication between departments or procedures for a customer’s death.

Update as Promised - My Green Mattress Kiwi

Hi All,

I know some of you were considering the My Green Mattress and I promised a follow-up once I was able to sleep on it.
The mattress is in my guest room and paired with the Baselogic Gold adjustable base.
Last night was night three and this morning I woke up feeling more well rested than I have in a long time.
I think day one and two involved some user error and my body adjusting to NOT having that big bowl that is in my current mattress.
I have to say, I am very pleased and plan on ordering one for my own bed as soon as I can find a base with the features I am looking for.
Observations - night one and two I mainly slept on my back in zero gravity which is not usual for me as I am normally a side sleeper. I woke with some tightness in my right shoulder so last night I eased up on the back height a bit and woke up feeling amazing today. I am waking up SO MUCH LESS with this setup. I normally wake multiple times per night (like eight to ten) and have only woken up once or twice and fall right back to sleep, which is also unusual for me.
About the base - it functions well and is quiet as far as I'm concerned. I am hoping to find a base with an active head-tilt function and lumbar support because I think those features would make the experience perfect. I am also using the massage feature which is just vibration but does help me relax enough to fall asleep much quicker than normal.
About the mattress - I would not call this mattress firm, but would NOT call it plush either. If you like that sinking-in feeling, this is not the mattress for you. I am coming from an old fashioned standard Kingsdown mattress so I like the fact that I am laying on TOP of the mattress and not IN the mattress. The mattress is soft enough to cradle the space between the hips and torso and the lumbar area so it is molding in that respect. Lastly, and most importantly for me it does NOT sleep hot (thankfully). I have been hesitant to purchase any foam mattress because I sleep hot. I do sleep with a rotating fan each night and did purchase the organic cotton mattress cover from MGM and a 100 percent cotton blanket from Ikea. I'm sure these things make a difference as my old mattresses setup has the polyester mattress topper and blankets.
Thanks to everyone that answered my questions as I did the deep dive into finding a new mattress and I welcome any questions or recommendations for a new adjustable base! Shopping for these items is not easy and it boggles my mind why they make is so difficult.

Baselogic Pearl Adjustable Base

Does anyone have experience with this base? Does the lumbar always stick out or does it lie flat? Do you like it? We inherited a Baselogic Gold but I’m interested in something with a lumbar support and would love wall hugger and active head tilt but I can’t seem to find those locally so this seems the best option.

Update - it’s here and setup!

I promised I would post an update for those considering a My Green Mattress. It’s here and almost ready to go.
The company was responsive, delivery was on time and flawless. The bed is much nicer than I envisioned based on the price.
I also ordered the organic cover but that’s in the laundry. Laying on the bed I don’t feel like there will be any “break in” period and it’s actually much softer than I thought it was going to be based on the conversation with customer service. This is the Kiwi model on an adjustable base. At some point I will spend a night or two on it and let you all know how that goes. Also, for those of you that live alone, you will absolutely need help with the box. It is very heavy and awkward. I wish they had a white glove service. I would definitely pay for that.

Recommending Sleep EZ Sample Box

Howdy,

As I have been searching for a mattress topper for our new mattress, I stumbled upon Sleep EZ's free latex foam sampler. I had no idea this was even a thing, but decided, "what the hell?" and ordered one.

I am beyond thankful I did and am recommending this to anyone considering a latex topper. It came in a giant box, so the samples are not tiny as I expected.
What is most surprising, and why I am encouraging others to order the samples, is that the latex types and firmness are very surprising.
I was mentally prepared to order the soft talalay but that is WAY too soft, as in, it wouldn't do anything but compress into mush. Also surprising was how soft some of the dunlop samples are. I thought for sure I was leaning towards talaly but now I am leaning towards the dunlop. The dunlop seems to have a plushness but still provides support.
This is my first foray into latex and I hope my first impressions will help some of you to avoid the buy and return, buy and return cycle that seems so common on this sub. I now clearly see why that happens. Descriptions for comfort are hard...

Casters for Adjustable Base?

Has anyone put casters on their adjustable base to move the bed for cleaning? If so, where did you purchase them? Thank you.

So...I've been pretty active on here lately :). Many beds, sheets, covers and toppers to buy. I've never owned a topper in my life so I would love anyone's opinion that is willing to offer it based on experience.
I've been searching from cheap egg crates to micro coils to latex. I just ordered the My Green Mattess Kiwi today and want to add a soft 2 or 3 inch comfort layer to it. It would be great if this layer didn't hold in heat. I feel like a lot of the "cooling" claims are BS but I can't be certain about that.
The egg crate and micro coils idea was because that seems like it actually would be cooler.

Okay, so after the deep dive, feedback from you all and Conner from customer service, I have decided to purchase the My Green Mattress Kiwi model for my guest room adjustable bed.
Now I'm trying to get together a list of new bedding.
I'm going to purchase cotton percale sheets as they are supposed to sleep cooler.
I also want a mattresses encasement and mattress cover.
My question- when using a mattress topper, do you put that inside the mattress encasement or under the mattress topper, or do you just lay it on top with its own cover? Remember, this is an adjustable bed.
I don't have time to do a deep dive into plush toppers but bonus gratitude for anyone that has thoughts on those.
I really like the convoluted one from flow bed, but I have an issue with the cost. I would like something that will cool down the bed in case the latex is hot, and offer a plush feel in case the latex is too hard.
What a journey this has been.

Hey guys, I'm sure you are all familiar with the three day deep dive I've just experienced.
I'm looking for a mattress for our guest room and newly inherited adjustable base.
I thought I was going with the Original Mattress Factory until I realized their innerspring system may not be the best for an adjustable base and they do use a rayon silica, which I don't want.
After a ton of surfing and reading this forum, I am leaning towards My Green Mattress because they fit the bill on most of my criteria (no chemicals, no fiberglass or silica, made in USA, family owned, good customer service, adjustable base friendly and lighter than all latex).
Any input and thoughts on your experience with the various models and CS from this company? If this works out, I am going to buy two more in the coming months. THANKS!

Hello fellow travelers, I am looking for a queen mattress that does not have silica, fiberglass or anything else that will kill us for our guest room. Many of the posts I have read are older so I am wondering if anyone has a recent recommendation based on current research. It is for a guest room, so a medium firmness would be ideal. TYIA.
