Finally printed a handle and got an ink pad. So much faster now!

I got lots of great suggestions when I shared this makeshift silicone stamp a while back.

I finally got around to modeling and printing a handle, and bought an ink pad. It's so much faster and more consistent now.

The stamp itself is still mediocre but good enough until I find a better way to make a new one.

All attacks on Bitcoin are good

Everyone's got their panties in a bunch about the recent hacks and exploits against things in the a Bitcoin ecosystem.

I say it's a good thing.

Bitcoin need to be able to exist, no, thrive, in an environment where anyone and everyone can attack it at any time.

Every weakness needs to be found, exploited, and then fixed.

Each hack, every attack, all the other scam bullshit in the ecosystem makes Bitcoin, the network, stronger.

If Bitcoin can't survive constant assault, then it isn't worth a damn thing.

If it ain't broke, you aren't trying hard enough.

Custom Stamp from 3d printed mold

I needed a better way to put my logo on shipping boxes.

So I decided to 3d print a mold and used homemade sugru (5 parts silicone type I : 1 part corn starch) to cast it.

Turned out decent!

It's far from perfect, but certainly good enough for now.

I'm thinking to try air dry clay next to cast it. I could of course buy proper casting silicone or another material, but it's more fun to try with common household goods.

Graft here possible?

A few days ago I topped my DR.

I want it bushier and due to a lack of sunlight it got a bit leggy.

After a bit more research I learned that adeniums are usually very easy to graft and so realized I could possibly graft the offcut back onto the center branch.

I marked in red the place where I'd like to graft. Is this spot reasonable for a flat graft?

If so, any general grafting advice?

I got to see the Corpse Flower bloom at the Norfolk Botanical Garden yesterday!

It was so stinky! My brain did not know how to react to the smell. It was simultaneously completely foreign, very familiar, and kind of nice 😂.

So glad I got to experience it.

What are y'all's thoughts on tungsten carbide nozzles?

Just picked up a 0.6 tungsten carbide nozzle. I've read good things about them. Especially how they have surprisingly good thermal conductivity, similar to brass.

Do they live up to the hype?

This is a Durozzle brand lol. Doesn't inspire confidence but the reviews are good.

Prusa customer support is amazing

The thumbscrews in my extruder were a hair too short and it was hard to tighten the nozzles properly.

I contacted Prusa support and after asking only one question, there were two new thumbscrews in the mail heading to me.

They shipped two screws 5000+ miles from Prague to the US with no hassle or delay.

I can't imagine how much it cost them relative to the value of those screws.

Especially since the hotend still worked! It was just was a tiny bit out of spec.

But wow it makes me very happy as a customer to be supported regardless of the issue.

I love that the more I use my printers and the ecosystem that I'm actually liking Prusa more and more. Good on them for supporting their customers!

INDX shipping June 25th - LFG!

Crossing my fingers for no more delays. 😬

I'm curious how polished it will be out of the box. Lots of folks think it's going to be rough and Founders are beta testers. That could be the case, we shall see.

Anyone curious about anything specific? I have so many things I want to test and gets answers to.

Where is the best ramen in the area?

I want a delicious bowl of Tonkotsu ramen. Who's got the best?

Some places I've tried are too salty. Some are just clearly sub par overall.

What's the best place in the area?
