New PC build to spite the Steam Machine

Finally finished this build that took a week and a half. Mostly waiting for parts to finish it completely.

This beautiful piece of machinery is running Steam OS exclusively. I built it mainly because I was upset at what the actual Steam Machine was capable of and the price tag it carried.

This baby can run 1440p high/ultra settings on every game put out so far. It's supplemented with a little help from Geforce Now for the most demanding games that I want to play on my living room tv.

Bait and switch. Xfinity store employee lied to my face and the whole team tried to cover it up.

Went in to an Xfinity store with a scheduled appointment to discuss options regarding changing plan for getting higher upload speeds. I was previously/currently at 35mbps average upload. Options given were 1 gig down with 100mbps. Legacy plan I was on was 2gig down and 35 up.

I confirmed 3 times with rep and asked them straight to their face to please check that I indeed was going to get 100mbps up if I switched to 1 gig down. All three times with no hesitation I was told they wouldn't lie and I was going to get 100mbps up if I switched to a lower tier.

And of course when I get home and checked speeds multiple times and even checked after rebooting everything. I was indeed getting 1 gig down and ....35mbps up! Yesterday when I checked my speeds they were at 1500 down (at time of congestion in my area) and 35 mbps up.

Why did they try so hard to get a loyal customer to switch to a lower tier. Because now I have to pay for some unlimited add on that I never had to before.

Went back to store to discuss and air my grievances. To find out all managers were gone for the day and the lady helping us had to leave abruptly. They then proceeded to tell me I had to get on a video call with the escalation team to fix my issue to try to go back to a legacy plan.

This so called escalation team turned out to be... Billing. This comes to light halfway through the call. This was way after my very first question to her after saying hello was that if she indeed was an escalation team member that could help me with my delicate issue.

Only after we were getting nowhere did she change her tune and she now can only handle billing questions and no manager is available.

If this is how Xfinity treats loyal customers?!?

then I'm out.

All I just got xfinitied!. 😢

Thinking of using my 7900xtx Merc 310 with a 7800x3d CPU, 1200 Rog loki SSFXL, 3 PC fans and 64gb of Kingston fury ram on a steam machine build.

Needing to spend about 500 bucks on an B850 Rog strix itx, jonsbo Z20 case, scythe Mugen air cooler and 3 fans for intake and exhaust.

Appreciate everyone's thoughts on this.
