Getting off the Windsor (single) waitlist just a delusion now?

Waitlisted mid March 2026, I know by this point its basically a no but I guess people find some reason to believe 🥀

I sent a letter of continued interest in both May and end of July, and told me that by the end of August would be the last time for movement

Btw, please release your seat if you have other offers you like better. I’m going crazy :(

Is there any possibility that U of A will reconsider their new admissions process of averaging LSAT scores?

This is a policy done across NO other law schools. Not even top corporate law focused schools such as U of T engage in this method of admissions.

The thing that destroys me that there was not warning or anything. Usually substantive admissions changes are proposed 1-2 years before being implemented. This quite frankly came out of nowhere.

I feel so disappointed, I have been working incredibly hard to raise my LSAT score and this averaging of previous scores was a punch to the gut.

Especially being from the province of Alberta and wanting to stay closer to home. U of C law was already pretty insane especially for younger applicants and now this from U of A. I will apply to other places but even out of province schools when push comes to shove will typically prefer to take students more local to the province they are from.

Would a mass email campaign or bring the situation to local news stations do anything?

I understand that a school has every right to designate the process but this was done incredibly poorly and without proper notice.

Also sorry for rambling I just feel like my dreams of becoming of a lawyer keeps hitting wall 😢

Thanks for destroying my dreams after working so hard.

Chance me U of C, what LSAT do I need?

I know! You shouldn’t put a limit but I NEED at least a threshold to have even a bit of a chance

Starting masters in September (1yr) and retesting for the LSAT for the fourth time after doing terrible. I already know that the multiple times don’t look great. Rejected at U of C this cycle

L2 is 3.875/4.0. Major, minor, and Canadian studies certificate. Born and raised in Calgary and attended U of C also. I love this city

I’m not sure where my extracurriculars line up but

-Part time sales associate since June 2023 (struggled a lot to find it)

-Went from jr exc (2024) to events exc (2025) and just finished as the vice president of event of event (2026) with the students association/club formy major

-Vice prez in training (2024) to vice president of anti racism club (2024-continuing)

- Youth prayer teacher at mosque since May 2023

- starting volunteer work with pro bono Alberta soon

-mentioned above but starting 1 year course based master in Sept for poli

-first gen lawyer (no family connections to the legal field)

Looking for an affordable LSAT tutor who is good with people who are slow/bad at the LSAT (breaking out of the 140s)?

I make minimum wage ($15/ per hour CAD 😭) so the budget is obviously tight.

Looking for a tutor who can help me either prep me for the August or September LSAT. I’m honestly a slower learner when it comes to the LSAT…

I’m located in the wider YYC area if anyone would be open to in-person tutoring (my preference tbh)!

I would be looking to meet 1-2 times a week. With even some assignments or whatever

Goal score would be a 155-162 at this point…I just want a shot

Full disclaimer I have taken the LSAT 3 times so I’m definitely doing something wrong

Taking the LSAT for the fourth time? 😭

I am dumb, I rushed though the LSAT and took it 3 times but cancelled the Aug first one (146), got a 147 (Nov), and then fucked up and retook it in Jan and I got a 144. So yeah I am not sure on what to do...

Also how bad would it looked if I CGed something alongside my trashy LSAT (B grade). Last semester no more time to increase. Unis may think it’s lower. Tomorrow is the day to decide if I want to go ahead with the credit granted (CG) policy at my home university. So for context the CG is a thing my university does, and for any grades under a -A you can remove the grade and get a CG in place, to help with your GPA.

Some context about my academics:

Since Spring 2024, I’ve had all A/A- range grades:

CGPA (no CG): \~3.59–3.62 (OLSAS estimate)
L2/B2 (no CG): \~3.80
If I use CG:
CGPA: \~3.62
L2/B2: \~3.83–3.85

At my home university:

Without CG: \~3.678 CGPA / \~3.875 L2
With CG: \~3.69–3.70 CGPA / \~3.92 L2 (approx.)

Accept a B or for credit grade? Raising my CGPA OLSAS from a 3.59 to around a 3.62 ish. Also going on to 4 LSATs…

Okay I am gonna make a Reddit post. Hey everyone, I know I have posted alot but on this subject, but tomorrow is the day to decide if I want to go ahead with the credit granted (CG) policy at my home university. So for context the CG is a thing my university does, and for any grades under a -A you can remove the grade and get a CG in place, to help with your GPA. Since Spring 2024, I have had straight A range marks. Now in my last semester I got lazy and got a B in one of my Poli classes. This B has honestly really sucked for me. I am from Western Canada but I am open to ANY law school in Canada, including Ontario.

Some context about my academics:

Since Spring 2024, I’ve had all A/A- range grades:

CGPA (no CG): ~3.59–3.62 (OLSAS estimate)
L2/B2 (no CG): ~3.80
If I use CG:
CGPA: ~3.62
L2/B2: ~3.83–3.85

At my home university:

Without CG: ~3.678 CGPA / ~3.875 L2
With CG: ~3.69–3.70 CGPA / ~3.92 L2 (approx.)

Now this issue becomes more complex as I am dumb, I rushed though the LSAT and took it 3 times but cancelled the first one (146), got a 147, and then fucked up and retook it in Jan and I got a 144. So yeah I am not sure on what to do...

Does anyone regret applying for CG? I’m so lost and the deadline is tomorrow

I reallyyyyy want to go to law school.

How much of a difference will a CGPA 3.678 vs 3.695 and B2/L2 of 3.875 vs 3.921 be? I want to CG a B grade in my last semester? Linear improvement except this semester

Especially if I am idiot who about to take the LSAT for the fourth time? I don’t want to give up on law and the LSAT has been stressing me out. I tried studying for it while doing uni and working and clubs, it’s too much. Now I’m graduated and taking the summer to study before grad school.

At University of Calgary, the CG (“Credit Granted”) policy lets students replace a course letter grade with “CG,” so they still earn the credit but the grade does not affect their GPA. Undergraduate students can usually apply for CG if they earn a grade of C- or higher — including grades as high as A-. Students can generally use CG for up to two courses total, depending on faculty rules, and it may affect applications to graduate or professional programs and scholarships. It would show CG in place of a grade

I need to decide by tomorrow…
