Perry War of the Roses Cavalry and Freeguild Cavaliers?

Perry War of the Roses Cavalry and Freeguild Cavaliers?

Yes I do know that Perry minis are historical 28mm scale and GW is heroic 28mm scale, and that AoS Freeguild Cavaliers are especially large 28mm heroic scale, but has anyone got both models and a side by side photo?

My Renegade Crowns army is made up mostly of Perry mini (War of the Roses), but the Freeguild Cavaliers may be the best option for a kitbashed general.

While we're at it, has anyone attempted putting Stormcast Vindicator heads on Perry War of the Roses knights? I did this (15+? years ago) with gen1 Sanguinary Guard heads on classic Empire Knights, before Stormcast Eternals were a thing, so I feel original about it still.

The Dwarf Stronghold, nestled in the snowy Wheldhyal Mountains...

I designed this Dwarf Stronghold as part of a LEGO fan design competition (the Bricklink Designer Program Series 11). It is inspired by many sources in high fantasy: books, movies, games, art. The grandfather of modern high fantasy deserves a special nod. Tolkien's world building, mining of ancient lore, and creativity have inspired countless other sub-creators (right in line with his world view!), and we continue to inspire one another.

This Dwarf Stronghold is built of 3251 LEGO bricks. It was designed in Bricklink Studio, so this is a digital creation. My goal was to show a grand entry door emerging from the mountain itself, a mighty watchtower with beacon fires lit, a gentle waterfall, magical cave and a jagged snow covered peak. Within the Stronghold fires roar, the smithy is never idle, jewelers craft, the kitchens are full of life, and the throne room sits regally under the peak of the mountain. You'll notice some nods to rings, a familiar looking mountain, and perhaps a fire drake from the north?

LEGO scaling presents some limitations, so imagination is required, and the thought here is to encourage play. The whole mountain can fold shut (like a doll house), revealing a familiar looking pattern emerging from the stone. The competition is limited to 4000 parts, so targeting the 3251 limit gives the project a better chance for selection. The goal would be for many fans to be able to enjoy this in real life one day. I hope you enjoy this build, and I hope it causes your imagination to stir.

The Dwarf Stronghold, nestled in the snowy Wheldhyal Mountains. (LEGO Fan Design Competition, please vote!)

I designed this for the Bricklink Designer Program Series 11. It is inspired by Dwarf lore an aesthetics from multiple fantasy books, games and movies. I've loved all things LotR and Hobbit, the Elder Scrolls games, and have played Warhammer Fantasy/TOW since 6th edition. I'm sure you can see the influences in the build. If it gets enough votes LEGO will make it into a real set. Please lend me your hammer and axe, and vote for it here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-11/4635/Dwarf-Stronghold

Alright Longbeards, lend me your axe and hammer again - the Dwarf Stronghold is back!

This is part of the Bricklink Designer Program series 11. If it gets enough votes LEGO will produce it as a real set. It draws inspirations from LotR, Warcraft, Elder Scrolls (Markarth), Warhammer, MtG art and all sorts of Dwarf tropes that we love. Hammer, axe, mountain, forge, gold, jewels and beard.... You can support it here: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-11/4635/Dwarf-Stronghold

Almost 4 years, 8.5ish iterations, 28(?) minifig years, finally complete!

The medieval stonemasons have been working on this one for a while - they're very happy to finally have it finished. Hope you enjoy the story through renders, I'm hoping to write an article for Brickset.com about the story and process.
