A friend found this during one of her walks, and we’ve been trying to figure out what it could be.

The material on the plates appears to be salt (though she hasn’t confirmed it yet), I can’t really tell whether this looks more like some kind of protective working, an offering, or something else.

I’m curious what people here think, or if anyone recognizes elements of it from a specific practice or tradition. EDIT: My friend confirmed that it was not salt but rice and also she pointed out the coins that were left there, i didn’t see them at first glance
