I'm finally posting my first e-scooter

I just got the NIU KQi 300p, I had it for a little bit, but it took me a little while to work up the courage to post here. My main fear was that I would buy the scooter only for all the commenters to say that it's a piece of crap or something like that.

But overall it's great! It rides very smoothly. Mileage is not bad. The 20 mph speed is good for me. I could probably handle a little bit faster, but for my usage, it is perfect. I just have a few tiny nitpicks but overall I love it.

How many performances indicate musical success?

I have a little bit of a random question. I'm listening to a great musical theater podcast, which talks about a lot of musical hits and misses. The host typically talks about how many performances the musical would run for before being closed and a bunch of numbers will be tossed around.

This got me thinking about how many performances would mark a musical as a success and how many would mark it as a flop. Sometimes people will say this musical ran for an x amount of performances before being closed and it'd be tough to get an idea of whether it's a good thing or a bad thing.

Obviously I know that if a musical runs for 100 performances before closing, it's a flop. If it runs for over a thousand, it's a smash hit. I'm mostly curious about the middle ground. If a musical runs for, say, 500 performances, would that be marked as a success or not? I'm just wondering about the general scale.

Strange noise coming from my new scooter's front wheel

I just got this scooter (NIU KQi 300P) about a week ago and it's been going great. Over the past couple of days I've been noticing a weird sound coming from my front wheel and it's been getting a little bit louder and louder. It sounds like ( I don't know what to call it... the little metal disc that makes contact with the brakes), slightly scraping up against the brakes as the wheel rotates. Maybe the brakes are probably tightened a little too much.

I don't know, but I want to see if there are any professionals out there who may know what the reason is. Like I said, I just got this scooter. I'm loving it and I really don't want to have any issues with it especially just a week out.

Remaking movie intros using different themes

I had an interesting idea one day. You know how Dreamworks used the Shrek theme for its 2nd Intro? Well, I was thinking one day, "What if Sinbad was the Dreamworks smash hit that Shrek wasm and the company used its theme?"

Then, I thought up an intro using Sinbad's theme, and then things went from there. I made movie intros using themes from different movies (or songs from others movies). Like, instead of "When You Wish Upon A Star" for the Disney Intro, what about "For The First Time In Forever?"

This is a compilation of the intros that I made. Hope you like them!

P.S Pardon the aspect ratio. These are shorts that I posted to social media, so they HAVE to be in portrait.

My Bagatelle In Eb Major

This was very much an impulse composition. I just got the impulse to write a short piece, so I composed this short and sweet little Bagatelle In Eb Major.

I'm a potential e-bike buyer and I just have a couple questions for the community

I'm about to be saving up for a car, but in the meantime, I want something to do some serious traveling with so that without walking for months on end. I'm looking into either getting an e-bike or a moped. Here's the thing: I just have a couple questions that I want to ask the e-bike community.

  1. can e-bikes be used for some serious travel? Could I realistically use an e-bike for the type of traveling I would use a moped for? I used to travel between two connected cities on my old moped so I'm wondering if people could realistically use mopeds for something like that. The distance between the cities was around 14 mi.

  1. Can someone tell me a pretty good price range to find affordable e-bikes that are also quality? I don't want to be scammed by some $500 e-bike from some dodgy company somewhere and then wind up paying to upkeep it. I also don't quite have enough money to spend $2,000 on one because at that point I may as well just buy a moped. I'm wondering about some good price ranges or some good brands that you guys would recommend.

  1. What are some common pitfalls with e-bikes? I know that charging them really puts a toll on your electric bill but I'm wondering if there are some other gripes or nitpicks that e-bike users tend to have.

[Silly Question] Closing out of town just means Closing before reaching Broadway?

This might be a silly question but I was just wondering. I heard both "Closing Out of Town" and "Closing Off Broadway" and I just wanted to make sure that I understand. I'm reading a book about all of Ira Gershwin's lyrics. They have sections where they talk about the production of all the shows and I heard both phrases so I just want to be sure.

Imagine if Sega remade Sonic: The Fighters (made it badass) and did like Crossworlds

Ok picture this: if Sega were to announce that it was remaking Sonic: The Fighters but, it didn't just copy and paste the older game with newer visuals.

It did a full remake with a new fighting system, amazing animations, badass action-packed fights and special mechanics.

Not only that, but imagine if the company did like Sonic Racing: Crossworlds and brought in other characters from the Sega Universe. Imagine playing as Alex Kidd or, Kazuma Kiryu or Dynamite Headdy. I don't know, that thought just kind of came into my mind.

So, I'm partially relieved and worried about this response, as a Sega fan and journalist.

I saw the official response about the AI content being used to develop Crazy Taxi: World Tour, and I'm a little conflicted. Firstly, I'm glad that Sega is using artists, and that AI content isn't making it into the game. So, the Sega fan in my is satisfied...

But the Journalist side of me is throwing up red flags. I was a journalist for 4 years, so I'm used to looking through official statements from companies and seeing through the bullshit PR speak. I don't think anything sounds fishy about this response, but at the end of the day, it's still an official response. Let's just hope that Sega doesn't go any further with its AI usage. I'm still all aboard for this game!

Wondering how to have characters let go of objects when they're the parent

So, I want my character to hold a Coco-cola can, and then put it down. I made it the child of the hand bone of my skeleton, but I want my character to put the can down and have the can stay in place. I'm wondering the best method to do this.
