Honeycrisp Apples
Where’s the spot for Honeycrisp Apples this year that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg?

I’m scared and looking for some insight.
For the last 4 months my platelets have been dropping steadily and iron has been very low. Had one iron infusion in March and another one last week after ferritin came back 8. The rest of my CBC, lytes, ANA all normal range. CRP is up a little 6.3.
I had NLPHL in 2020 and had 6 cycles of ABVD chemo plus rituxan.
My hem/onc has been monitoring the platelets and last one was the lowest at 26 and I’m covered in bruises so we booked a bone marrow study. He doesn’t know why the platelets are dropping.
Should I prepare myself for a call that I’ve relapsed or for some secondary cancer. I’m terrified for my family. He’s mentioned ITP, I’m not having any lymphoma symptoms (no wt loss, no nt sweats) but I didn’t initially either.
Have you seen patients like me that it’s not cancer? Even with a history?
Last straw was had today, I can’t be around my completely dysfunctional parents. I have to leave it at thay because it’s way too much to type.
I’ve decided at 35 to leave this shit behind me and move forward not trying to fix this anymore. I’ve tried so hard to keep the peace at the cost of my own sanity and I need to move forward.
I’m really sad about having to make this decision and need some support in hearing how your life improved after making this decision and how you held strong during times like holidays/birthdays etc.
Really struggling here. Thanks.
For context I just started PB about 2 weeks ago, and I’ve definitely seen improvements in my skin, inflammation, and digestion, but I haven’t really lost any weight. I am hoping I can shed 20lbs of fat I’ve had for a while. I think I have lost a couple of inches though but scale hasn’t really moved. Included my typical plan below, let me know your thoughts or tweaks I should make. I’m 5’5’ female and around 180lbs and go for long walks every day 1 to 2 hr total broken up into two sessions with my dog.
Breakfast
2 pc gluten free toast with hummus(little northern bakery whole wheat, I’m sensitive to gluten and feel better when I don’t have it but I’m not celiac)
Smoked tofu
Sautéed greens on top
Pc of fruit
Lunch
smoothie with pea protein, spinach, almond milk, strawberries, half a banana
Lentil soup
Dinner
Big green salad with any veggie I’ve got
Tofu
Sweet potato
Edamame
Quinoa
Pc of fruit
Snack
Made good crunchy oat square
Cucumber and hummus
Does anyone else’s corgi snuggle up on your pillow in the morning and roll into you to get pets. It’s like the ultimate nervous system calming morning routine. I’ve never had a dog do this and it is the nicest thing ever. 🫶🏽🥹 … maybe he is just being nice to get breakfast going lol
Tell me about your morning corgi demands and cuteness!
Kale massaged well with lemon juice, salt, olive oil
Beets
Slivered almonds
Roasted sweet potato
Smoked tofu
Blackberries (randomly just went for it -I think it’s the odd guy out here tho)
Maple-peach balsamic vinaigrette home made
I’m very much enjoying this breakfast lately and feel more confident making ethical food choices lately.
Big mountain smoked tofu on toast with garlic hummus, topped with sautéed veggies.
Presentation isn’t the prettiest but I don’t care!
Hello, I’m looking to transition to a more plant based diet to better my health and because I care deeply about animals and the environment.
I wondered if this sub could give me some recipe ideas to make some easy swaps to make the transition a little easier.
I am looking to lose around 20lbs, reduce inflammation, and to manage a chronic condition. So I also reduce gluten where possible. When you switched to PB, did you notice any change in inflammation/energy levels?
Here’s my day to day typical diet:
Smoothie - banana, spinach, berries, almond milk, Greek yogurt, diesel whey protein powder, pinch of cinnamon
Breakfast - carbonaut bread, eggs fried in butter with a side of berries, Greek yogurt and chia/flax/hemp blend
Lunch - chicken with a side of vegetables typically or a salad with chicken and balsamic vinaigrette
Dinner - chicken or beef with sautéed vegetables, a side salad and sweet potato/russet potato
Snack - rx bar
Thanks for sharing your experience!
As the title reads, looking for the best spots in London that I can check out in the next couple of weeks. Any type of cuisine goes!
Wondering anyones experience with fasting and if they have seen improvements with their symptoms from autoimmune conditions.
Suggestions/stories welcome. Thanks!
Since the worlds goin to hell in a hand basket, found myself thinking about some wild twilight imperium moments I’ve had and wondered the same of others. Regale me with your TI insane moments!
Hi! I may have the opportunity to move to Belgium for 6 months next year from Canada from March - October and wanted to know if there’s any tips/info/ideas on how to get started. Thanks 😊
Edited to give some more info:
I’d be located in Brussels with a low monthly stipend of about 1300 euro, I’m looking for some advice if that would be enough to cover cost of rent/food?
My mental health is taking a beating surrounding the dysfunction of my parents. I’ve dealt with years of their alcohol and addiction issues, self-centred behaviour, defensiveness, emotional dysregulation, choosing their friends and partying over me all during my formative years and enduring many situations of emotional abuse. I have taken the perspective that I know they have their own wounds and traumas to heal from and an it’s not their fault the way they act perspective in order to cope and keep them in my life. I’m realizing that after some deep reflection and therapy that keeping them close in my life is bringing out the worst in me. I do everything I can to be there for them but I’m worn down. My husband lost his mom a few years ago and we can’t have kids due to an illness I had and all we got was passive aggression despite the kind messages we sent. I feel guilty letting go, and moving on with my life but I know I have to since they refuse help or therapy. Just looking for advice on how to navigate this maturely, especially in the beginning. Do I tell them I need space, or just gradually drift away?
Thanks in advance.
