Imagine a big bucket of water with a tiny tube connecting the bottom back to the top. Would the water keep moving, or would the circulation eventually stop?

A 20-inch screen always has a 20-inch diagonal. But what decides the angle between the two diagonals, or the screen's shape? How is the height calculated if the diagonal never changes? If two TVs both have a 20-inch diagonal, what prevents one to be be taller and another wider? What determines the screen's height?

I know that in many places there's water underground at around 100–200 feet (or even shallower). If the ground has water beneath it, how can massive skyscrapers and other heavy buildings safely support all that weight? Why don't they sink, tilt, or collapse over time?
