Including side characters like Beth from little women, Ruby from Cold mountain ect. I love Winona Ryder, and my younger self was a lot like the characters she plays. Kind of an un decisive, idealistic pseudo intellectual type but true to herself despite the consequences. Opposite a conservative character like Verity or Charlotte Lucas. Now I’m more like aunt Hetty from road to avonlea 👒 looking down on the folly of youth 🤣

I’m new to perfumes. I’m early 40’s and have gone the first half (if not 3/4) of my life having no interest in perfumes. I might have worn pink sugar a couple of times in my teens. Now all of the sudden I feel compelled to build a collection. It may be after a series of difficult events in my life I guess wearing them brings me comfort even if it’s just for me.
That being said being as I am beginning my collection I have decided that I want to focus solely on rose forward fragrances as a scent profile. Not floral but rose specifically. I want to have a primary rose note because I want the few people I have left to be reminded of me when they smell rose perfume, and of course I love it.
I know it is understandably pooh poohed to blind buy. My situation is that I am at home with my mom who after a brain bleed is almost completely paralyzed and tube fed, ect. I leave the house once a week if that and when I do I am after essentials. Definitely cannot squeeze in sampling perfumes. So the next best thing is reading hundreds of posts and blind buying based on compelling recommendations. I know I could get decants but after shipping and everything I would rather put the money towards a bottle, even 50 ml ones if I’m not sure. So far I love all of my scents🤞
Now for the reason of my post I was wondering if the beautiful people of this sub could help me narrow down my list. I would like opinions on what scents are must haves for a rose collector, which ones are similar to each other, which I might be missing, or ones that you don’t think are good.
I might only get 5 - 8 more perfumes. what would be your top 5 or so?
