ETA: Loveland Coffee Company just called and there was a scheduling mishap so we do not have the community table but they are pushing a couple of tables together for us with a few extra chairs.

Stop by if you want to chat about the current state of Flock in Loveland and how to move forward in our opposition. I have the community table reserved. Hope to see a few people there!

Coffee meetup this weekend for anyone concerned about Flock cameras

Another flock post…

If you’re concerned about the increasing surveillance in Loveland please join me at Loveland Coffee Co this Saturday at 11. I have the community table reserved from 11am - 1pm.

I’m hoping some folks are interested in meeting up this weekend to discuss strategies for pressuring City Council to end their contract with Flock.

I’m interested in discussing information gathering, outreach efforts, public comment at council meetings, and other ways we can influence City Council.

I have also created a Reddit group chat to discuss the same things mentioned above. Please let me know if you would like to join and I can add you.

I’m considering taking a job offer for less pay and no benefits. Sanity check?

Hello!

I’m an admin with 10 years of experience who was offered a Manager position at a small non-profit. I’m very excited for the opportunity and career advancement but I’m not sure I should take the job.

It will be an 18% pay cut. No health benefits but a small health insurance stipend every month that will be taxed as income. No retirement benefit.

I’ve been in my current role for almost 4 years and the benchmark for a reclassification keeps getting higher and higher so I’m pretty frustrated about that. I also work somewhere that pays REALLY well for an admin role in this area.

I do a lot more than just office admin work. I coordinate a few different processes that come through the office and I feel like I can’t perform at my fullest potential while also manning the front desk.

I’m seriously considering taking the job for two reasons: I really want to get away from being tied to a front desk and I am hopeful this position will give me excellent experience and networking opportunities to take to another job with better pay and benefits. I estimate that will take 1-3 years.

Would it be monumentally stupid to take a job with less pay/benefits and more responsibility?

Playback Regions?

Has this always been a thing? I put a DVD into my PS5 recently and it asked me to select a playback region and now I want to buy This Country on DVD and it’s playback region 2 which means it won’t play on my PS5 since I selected playback region 1?

I don’t remember playback regions when I used to buy and watch DVDs as a kid but I also wasn’t ordering them online..

What is the point of a playback region?

Are there any existing Project Management Professional study groups I can join or is anyone interested in forming one?

I am approved to take the test through PMI I just need to dedicate time to studying and get it done. I work M-F 8-5 so any studying will be evenings, weekends, and holidays. ✌️&❤️

I have a young peach tree that I planted in my yard before doing too much research on it and I’m now learning there’s a lot more to it than I was expecting.

Right now I need help training my young tree to an open center vase shape. I’d also like to find someone knowledgeable to help prune the tree every year.

Thanks for any recs!
