Which of these (four) high-interest bank accounts is the BEST option?

After doing research on dozens of different Australian high-interest savings accounts, I've narrowed down (what I believe) to be the top 4 contenders based on their high ongoing interest rates, lack of fees, and overall spending & depositing flexibility.

The contenders are:

. BOQ Simple Saver

. Ubank Savings Account

. Macquarie Bank Savings Account

. EasyStreet Flex Saver Account.

I've created an easy-to-read slide for each bank that lists their features & perks.

This can hopefully spark a discussion on each banks own historical reputation and draw comparison between their features & perks to decide which bank would be better to invest with in the long-run.

Which bank would you trust putting your money with?

And if any of you have OTHER suggestions for high-interest bank accounts that are worth a mention, please comment them below.

Why have I been taxed on my fortnightly payslip if I earned under the tax-free threshold?

I work casually at the moment, so my hours can go up & down drastically. I just received my payslip for this last fortnight and my earning amounts are as follows:

Casual Weekday inc 25% load: 5 hours x $34.78 = $173.90

Casual Saturday inc 25% load: 7 hours x $41.73 = $292.11

Monthly Incentive: (1% of monthly sales performance) = $213.83

Laundry Allowance: = $3.90

Total GROSS earnings: $683.74

Total TAX withheld: $52.00

Total NET earnings: $631.74

My question is, why have I been taxed $52.00 off my payslip if my total gross earnings are below the fortnightly tax-free threshold amount of $700? Technically I should be paying $0 in tax?

Has my employer or payroll made a calculation mistake or am I not understanding something?

Would someone be able to help explain this discrepancy? Thanks.

Stalking the school as Michael Myers. 🔪

...Scaring the students along the way (they loved it)

- FYI, this was for a cosplay festival. I had full permission.

Depleted Car battery voltage measures 11.5v when attached to car, but then measures 12.3v when taken out of car?

Yesterday morning, my 2003 Mazda 323 astina hatchback engine wouldn't start when I turned the ignition, some of the dash lights flickered and a faint *tick-tick-tick-tick* sound could be heard.

I measured the battery voltage with a little voltage meter that I plugged into the cigarette lighter... It measured 11.5v. 😬

I took out my car battery and drove to a car battery store, the clerk clamped his voltage meter to my battery and it measured 12.3v.

He was as confused as I was, he said there may be something in my car that's draining my battery since it's now gone UP in volts.

I drove home, put my battery on charge (expecting it to take 48 hours to fully charge) but within 2 hours it reads as fully charged.

What is going on here?

My car battery was installed 3 years & 7 months ago (with 3 year warranty) I don't know how long they're supposed to last.

Do I need a new car battery, new altinator.. or something else?

I'm perplexed.

Instagram gallery is shown in REVERSE chronological order??

Today I just set up my new phone, I switched from my Vivo Y21s to a Motorola G56. I transferred all my files, media & apps across to the new device.

Now, I downloaded the Fossify gallery app so I could have a dedicated gallery to view my photos other than Google photos, since Motorola doesn't come with its own gallery app. In both apps my photos appear with my most recent photos at the top and the oldest photos down the bottom (as they should).

But when I open Instagram and view the gallery there... My photos are in complete reversed order, with my oldest photos at the top, and my most recent photos down the bottom, meaning I have to scroll all the way down to view/post my more recent photos. I have nearly 8,000 photos/vids. You can imagine it's a pain every time.

What's stranger is, when I take NEW photos/vids with my camera.. they actually DO appear at the very top of the Instagram gallery (as they should) but with the rest of my old photos from years ago.

I've tried clearing cache, un-installing & re-installing. Issue is still not fixed.

Does anyone have some solutions?

Thanks.

Billy Idol's RARE screen test as the T-1000 for Terminator 2

In a recent documentary, famous rockstar Billy Idol talks about his screen test with James Cameron in 1990. Auditioning for his role as the T-1000 in Terminator 2.

This is a piece of behind-the-scenes trivia that some of us have already heard before, but now after 35 years we actually get to see the rare audition footage shot by Cameron himself in the early pre-production days of T2.

As far as I know, this is the first time in history this footage has been uncovered... Makes you wonder what other hidden footage we still haven't seen yet.

How to crop the top and bottom of rolling credits, to confine it to the lower third of the frame?

I'm editing a scene in which a girl is reading text messages on her phone, and I'm trying to overlay the text messages in a rolling motion towards the bottom third of the frame so the audience can see what she's reading.

I've added the text box, put in my text, adjusted the position, and added a rolling-credits style animation.

But the text rolls from the bottom of the frame all the way up to the top of the frame which is too large of an area, I want to crop the top and bottom of the animation so that the text rolls up to about one third of the frame and disappears.

I'm using Filmora 11, if that Helps.

Any tips would be well appreciated.

Can someone explain how this is possible?

I have two questions..

I live in Hervey Bay, Queensland. I'm expecting a package sent from Victoria.

Tracking history shows it went from Victoria > Brisbane > Redbank > ... Then somehow missed my city, and went wayyyyy up to Atherton (80km from Cairns).

The explanation being that it was "incorrectly sorted"

My package's original delivery was expected May 11th-12th. Now due to this delay, they've pushed it a WEEK ahead saying it'll now be delivered 21st-22nd May... very, very annoying.

MY FIRST QUESTION IS, how can it be incorrectly sorted? My address is very specific and certainly can't be confused with any other area in QLD (tho I thought)

Tracking has since shown it's gone from Atherton > Far North > Bungalow > Far North > ... Then somehow missed my city AGAIN and all the way back down to West End in Brisbane! But what's weirder is the tracking shows it somehow went from Far North (at 6:11am) > Brisbane (at 6:46am) in the span of 35 minutes??... Yeah right!

MY SECOND QUESTION IS, how can my package miss my city a second time, yet more so.. how can it get from Far North to West End in 35 minutes???

What is going on?
