Fantasy Name Generator App for DMs, Writers & Worldbuilders

Hey fellow DMs, writers, and worldbuilders,

I built a fantasy name generator app that I originally made for my own RPG sessions.

If you want to check it out, here’s the link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.avaton.fantasynamegenerator

The idea was to solve the usual “we need a name right now” problem during campaigns and writing sessions, without relying on repetitive or overly generic generators.

What it currently does:

• Generates names from syllables (so results feel more organic and less “random list”)
• Thematic filters (Nordic, desert, elven, dark fantasy, etc.)
• Large database of names, nicknames, and house/clan names.
• Generates tavern/inn names, regions, territories, kingdoms, etc.
• Generates spell and skill names.
• Lets you save favorites and generate multiple results at once.

It’s basically meant to cover the full naming layer of a fantasy world, not just character names.

I’d genuinely appreciate feedback from people who actually run games or build worlds. Especially if there are naming categories you always struggle with or wish existed (I’m still expanding it).

Also curious: what kind of tools or features do you feel are missing from the RPG/writing community that you’d actually use? I’m looking to build more tools around this.

Thanks in advance, and hope it helps someone’s next session.

Released my first Godot game: The Red Tomorrow (grimdark interactive novel)

Hey everyone,

I finally released my first game: The Red Tomorrow, a grimdark interactive fantasy / choice-driven RPG made in Godot, now available on Android (iOS coming soon).

About the game

Jonas survived the spectral raids.

Coming home was supposed to be the easy part.

Instead, he finds his son taken by a royal mage into a kingdom poisoned by prophecy, war, and things far worse than men.

The Red Tomorrow is a dark interactive story with light RPG mechanics where your choices shape the narrative, relationships, and outcomes.

A bit about development

This is my first released game and my first time working with Godot. I started writing stories about a year ago, and only recently began turning them into a playable project.

Most of the work was done solo, with help from my wife (editing and map creation) and my friend BLVCKSTVR (UI graphics and soundtrack).

Disclaimer: The illustrations were created using AI tools, but only as a post-process on digital-drawn sketches by human. I used them to heavily refine and finalize illustrations rather than generate them from scratch.

The game is free to play with optional ads for support.

I’d really appreciate any feedback from this community — especially on writing, pacing, UI, or overall feel.

Thanks for taking a look.

The Red Tomorrow: Interactive Grimdark Fantasy Novel (Android)

Game Title:

The Red Tomorrow

Playable Link:

https://windmilltales.com/theredtomorrow

(or directly via Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.windmilltales.theredtomorrow )

Platform:

Android (iOS planned)

Description:

The Red Tomorrow is a story-driven interactive novel set in a grimdark fantasy world. It is not a traditional gameplay-focused game, but rather a heavily prose-based experience where the player progresses through a narrative and makes meaningful choices that shape the direction, tone, and consequences of the story.

You follow Jonas, a man returning home after surviving spectral raids, only to discover his son has been taken by a royal mage into a kingdom consumed by prophecy, war, and far darker forces. As the story unfolds, you decide how Jonas responds to the world around him: who he trusts, how he fights, and how far he is willing to go in order to recover his child.

Every choice carries weight. Some decisions lead to survival and alliances, while others permanently alter or destroy relationships and outcomes. The experience focuses strongly on written narrative and atmosphere, with light RPG mechanics supporting the branching structure.

This is a slow, deliberate, choice-driven journey designed for players who enjoy interactive fiction, moral consequences, and dark fantasy storytelling.

Free to Play Status:

[x] Free to play

After a year of writing and development, I released The Red Tomorrow (interactive novel game)

Hello everyone,

I’ve been a long-time lurker here, quietly watching the incredible projects and artistic creations shared in this community. This time, I finally get to share something of my own.

The Red Tomorrow is a “book of choices,” or as I like to call it, an interactive journey, a grimdark fantasy story presented as a game. It is currently available on Android, with an iOS release planned soon.

Short description

Jonas survived the spectral raids.

Coming home was supposed to be the easy part.

Instead, he finds his son gone, taken by a royal mage into a kingdom poisoned by prophecy, war, and things far worse than men.

The Red Tomorrow is a dark interactive fantasy with light RPG mechanics where your decisions shape the world around you. You choose how Jonas fights, who he trusts, and how far he is willing to go to save his child.

Your choices change the story.

Some will save lives. Others will destroy them.

The game is free to play, with optional ads included to support ongoing development.

A bit of background

I’m from Greece, and like most Greek men, I was required to serve in the army for about a year when I turned 18. During that time, I spent long stretches away from everything; my job, my fiancée (now my wife), and my friends. Interactive novels like the ones I’m now creating helped me get through that period.

More than a year ago, I started writing stories, and a few months back I began learning Godot. Today, I’m proud to say I’ve released my first interactive story and my very first game made with Godot.

While most of the work was done by me, I want to give special credit to my wife, who helped a great deal with editing and map creation, and to my talented friend BLVCKSTVR, who was responsible for the UI graphics and the soundtrack.

Download

If you’d like to try it, you can download the Android version here:

I’d really appreciate any feedback, positive or critical. It would mean a lot coming from this community.

Thank you for your time.
