Can you react to retinol after third use?

Used a retinol product for the first time in 3 years. First couple of times was fine but now I'm all red, swollen and rashy. Hoping it will go down after a day or two but I honestly thought if I was going to react it would've happened after the first go!!! I might've gone a bit ham on the third go as a result 😂

It was a 1% retinol 🫠

Can someone post their weekly life routine 😅

Two parents, working full time but we can both WFH 2 days a week each. Toddler in daycare 5 days.

Toddler goes to bed late 9pm ish but isn't up till 7-8 so that works for us as we are NOT morning people, but I'm wondering if we need to be???

I don't feel like we are fitting in everything we need to do in a week.

I'm hoping someone has a weekly chore routine down pat that you could share? Open to getting a cleaner etc too.

Toddler sleeping bag for camping

What sleeping bag do you guys use for camping with toddlers?

Kids ones seem to still be 175-180cm long. Can I just use a spare adult sleeping bag I've got then?

Note: no trip planned, unlikely to go in the middle of winter, just wanted to start thinking about doing some camping again ☺️

Private or public for 2nd birth?

I went public for my first birth but had a bad experience with the doctor during induction. Specifically, I said no to a membrane sweep 3 times (however I said if labour did not progress as intended then I'd be ok with one). Doctor said sure, I just need to do a cervical check to see if you're dilated enough to break your waters, and then while in there she performed the membrane sweep as well. With it being my first time birthing a child, I obviously had no clue what she was doing in there, and only found out when she told me once she was done.

So, that being said, are there merits for going private for the second birth just so I can be a bit choosy about who I'm going with? I also feel that a doctor that I have an established relationship with from the beginning of pregnancy and who I'm paying bills for explicitly might be a bit more respectful towards my wishes or at least have a harder time ignoring them compared to someone that I had just met the same day.

I don't care much for the private hospital stay, for my first was happy to just go home, however I'm thinking the private hospital / longer stay might be nicer for a second birth given there will be a toddler / young child at home already?

Alternatively, has anyone had a private OB but still delivered at a public hospital?

Curious to hear from anyone who's had experience in both private and public.

When to start telling toddler that milk might go away?

My toddler turns 2 next month. In the beginning my goal was 6 months, then 12 months, then 2 years and to be honest I don't really feel any strong desire to stop breastfeeding. I'm happy to continue because I like the bond, it's an easy way to soothe him but I do want to start tapering it off and limit it to just bed time and overnight.

Is now too early to start having conversations to let him know that the milk might one day go away? Or will it just confuse him if we talk about it but then we don't wean anytime soon?

Tips to keep on top of dust

What are your rituals / habits etc. to help stay on top of dust in the home?? The dust in our bedroom accumulates sooooo quickly. There are just sooo many surfaces to dust and clean?? Bedside tables, lampshades, tv units, all the corners, behind the doors, skirting boards!!!, under bed / sofa etc.

Not looking so much for how to clean but more rituals and habits that make it easier to tackle this problem? Do you do a different room each day? Do you dedicate a weekend day to it? Do you have an upstairs vacuum and a downstairs vacuum? Microfibre cloths everywhere? Do you tack it onto another chore??

Eye creams!!! Murad?

I have a $100 Sephora voucher to use, and I'm tossing up between getting something like the Murad Retinal Resculpt Eye Treatment at $48 for 3 mL or the Innisfree eye serums at $35 for 10 mL??

My primary concern are wrinkles (especially on my eyelids but I know a lot of these products probably aren't suitable for direct application on eyelids), and the Murad before/after photos seem really good but it's so pricey compared to other products that also have good reviews.

Does anyone have any experience with Murad or other recommendations that I can purchase specifically at Sephora?

Is anyone else's almost 2 year olds not sleeping through the night?

I just want to know if this is common for this age or if we have a problem / we are doing something wrong?

It's gotten a bit better and he wakes maybe once or twice a night now. Quick boob then back down.

A night is 9pm to 7am, and he typically naps anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hrs during the day.

Edit: thanks everyone! The consensus seems to be it's normal, but with suggestions for potential ways to improve in the comments ☺️
