Career advice after graduating

Please don’t ask me why I went and got a masters right after my bachelors. What’s done is done. But I recently graduated with my DA masters and did my undergraduate in biomedical engineering. I find myself in a weird spot without enough real life work to support either of my degrees. I loved my time in school and learned a lot, but I haven’t been able to get job/interview despite trying to change my resume for each job. I’m not necessarily passionate about a certain job, but I’m not sure what entry level jobs I should applying for to get myself started.

What did you do after your degree?

Just curious on when people graduated. What was their first job post grad? If they went to grad school? And just people’s journey after their degree?

Exhausted of not having control

I’m so so tired of not having control over my own mind at 24. i was talking to myself sister (who thankfully is pretty stable) and she said “control your thoughts. You’re the boss of your own brain not the other way around”. And it’s so frustrating because I can’t. It’s like a thousands thoughts coming at once. They can get so intrusive. I get terrible random panic attacks where I get short of breath and my hands and ears get tingly. I’m so tired of being brushed off. I feel like I could be lose my mind at any moment and no one around me will care. Maybe I already lost it.

Originally, I was planning to be pre-pa and then I stopped to doing my pre-reqs, and switched to BME. I honestly just been working retail and feel like bum. I have no idea why I ever stressed over this degree. I been applying to job and the only ones I hear back from are ones that don’t even require a degree (admin assistant, tech). I’m going through with the interviews (just to get some experience), but I feel like I fucked up wasting time. I been thinking about going to grad school but most of the programs I am interested have at least two semesters of pre-reqs I am missing. I feel so lost and so so so disappointed. I find myself in my mid-20s with no direction at all.

Hello, I am in my mid-20s and I’m starting to worry about marriage. I pray that God helps me prepare for it, but I never dated anyone or had anyone express interest. I don’t really talk to anyone in my church as I find it hard to connect sometimes, but I love my faith. What age were you when you got married? What did the process look like for you? Where did you meet? My parents got married in Egypt (it was different there). And I see so many young people around me either dating or getting engaged and I’m worried I’m doing something wrong.

Hi I finished my bachelors degree in 2024, and I haven’t been using it but I am curious on people’s experience with gmu accelerated nursing program. Did you consider NOVA associate degree and why did you make that decision? How was the application process and what was the program like?

My parents have been wanting to move forever but the money is not all there. my parents always argue even before this. I wake up to my mom going on and on and on and on while my dad sits quietly until he crashes out. I’m the oldest so I tend to play therapist. Sometimes I feel if I don’t care, no one will and this could end up badly. Is this what people mean when they say marriage is hard?
