i’ve applied to 20+ jobs at WDW ever since i became eligible to apply to the company again after self terming from my program 5 weeks early back in december 2024.
a while ago, i contacted HR to confirm my rehire status given that i was getting continuously rejected (only one job application made it to “application under review”) and they confirmed that i was under a restricted rehire status but couldn’t disclose why.
it’s my dream to work for the company again and i’m no longer eligible to apply for another CP given i’ve now been out of school for over 2 years.
so i’m just wondering if being put under this restricted rehire status will affect my chances of ever getting to work for the company again. just really wanna make sure that i’m not wasting my time with these applications if my chances are slim to none.
i’m also officially relocating to orlando permanently next week and hoping that this could help my chances as well.
i’ve been trying to do research on what a bench hire is and i’m having trouble understanding. like is it strictly mandatory for me to be local if i apply for it? my boyfriend ended up getting a full time job in the orlando area so we are officially moving there next weekend.
i ended up applying for a call center position on monday and wrote in my cover letter that i’m officially relocating. it’s part time but it’s also a bench position and i wanna know how likely am i to get the job given i’m not currently living in orlando at the moment?
i’ve been working a remote education job for about 8 months now. i have a bachelors degree in sociology and this is technically my first real job since graduating and also my first ever remote job. the job was fine at first but i realized not long after that working in education isn’t what i wanna do long term. i also have ADHD and depression which has really caused me to struggle with fulfilling the requirements to do the job successfully without feeling incredibly drained. i’d be struggling financially without this job though and i’ve applied to other 30 jobs as of today, having already been rejected by half of them. my boyfriend and i are also planning to move into a new apartment in a few weeks in the city where our dream company is based and he just got a job offer in that area. this just adds to the stress of potentially losing my own job though.
today, i had a meeting with my managers and they have officially put me on a PIP for 30 days. i’ve already accepted the outcome of what will happen if i don’t survive the PIP, and i’m very nervous about not having another job lined up by the deadline. but i’m more so scared of how losing this job will impact my chances of finding something better and what’s more aligned with my career goals, and how this will impact my future overall.
i like to believe that i’m still capable of doing something amazing with my life, but i often define myself by my failures and i feel like there’s demons in my head telling me that i’m not worthy of pursuing something better and/or a great career.
currently have 6 pending applications, all under “application received” but i’m still curious.
i was born in 2000 so i’m considered to be gen z but i feel like i’ve always been pretty late to the party when it comes to discovering certain social media trends and practicing them myself. most recently, the 0.5 . i just recently started posting 0.5 selfies at the beginning of this year when it’s seemingly been around for quite a while at this point. i also posted a lot on social media in 2024 with friends and my boyfriend, but i mainly just posted regular selfies and not 0.5s and now feel like my profile is pretty cringey compared to others in my age range (i’m such an overthinker 😭) so i’m curious to know when y’all have started using them or when it really started to become as popular as it is now.
i have submitted 12 applications for mainly full time positions since the end of june of last year, most of them have gone straight from “application received” to “no longer in consideration”. i’ve had one application go to “application under review” within not even 24 hours of applying and another one that went from “application received” to NLIC literally a month after the application closed. so i’m wondering how long it usually takes to receive an update on an application; specifically for an application to be under review. there’s currently two applications in my candidate home page that have closed but are still under “application received” and i wanna know if there’s still a possibility of my application moving forward considering the fact that the one time i was under “application under review” happened so quickly after submitting my application. thank you!
about a month ago, i sent a message to an acquaintance, but they ended up never actually replying to me and just turned on disappearing messages as a result. i eventually archived the message but the message still stayed in our chat history for 14 days. eventually the chat i sent disappeared but it still had the notification that disappearing messages were turned on. now, the whole entire chat history between me and this person is completely erased, even when i check archived messages. i’m a little frustrated though because i can’t remember if i actually outright deleted the chat history after the message disappeared or not. so i’m wondering if this is something that facebook messenger does on its own. i hope this makes sense. thank you!
i applied for an HR position almost three weeks ago where the job description said the application would close on the 22nd. it’s now the 27th and the job application still says it’s only been received. i also applied for a position at disney central over a week ago and there’s so update on that either. does anyone know how long it could take for me to get a proper update?
