Found these prints at Goodwill

So I found these two cubist prints at a goodwill near downtown Houston, Texas. I don’t know exactly when they’re from however, I know they’re at least from the 90’s because the frames are from the 90’s. To me they look super reminiscent of cubist artworks from the 40’s-60’s but I don’t recognize the signature, and have no dates to work with. I took one out of the frame after purchasing them and there was no other information on the paper. If anyone has any idea please lmk. I’d love for these to be some cool find, but regardless I’m still happy with this $3 find lol

Is a Pfaff 1183 Good?

Honestly, I’ve never heard of the brand and need to know if anyone has experience working with these machines.

I recently redownloaded Facebook to use marketplace with the intention of finding an industrial machine. I keep seeing Jukis, which I’ve worked with and I like however, I just say a Pfaff 1183 for $200. Are they comparable to a Juki, cause they look super similar. And $200 is so cheap compared to everything else I’m seeing.

They had a video of it, but for the privacy of the seller I’m not going to post that lol

I Finally Got to Sew My Leather Vest, it’s Almost Finished

This is my first ever leather project, it’s inspired by Big Shot from Cowboy Bebop.

I’m obviously not finished with it, but it’s so rewarding to finally see it sewn. I’m really proud. However, idk how to finish the inside, it’s something I’ve been debating for a while, so if anyone has any thoughts on how I should line it, or if it’s even necessary please let me know.

I still need to obviously cut the threads, I also need to realign the edges, but I feel like that’s small work. I was also thinking of doing additional decorative topstitching. Does more topstitching sound disruptive? I also wanted to stitch an outline of a star on the back but idk. Most of the design elements feel perfect to me already, the rest is just fun. My main concern is the lining now.

Additionally if anyone has suggestions for what to do with the rest of my leather, I’m all ears lol. I wanted to make a tie and gloves out of the red lamb skin that makes up the stars, but I have I have no idea what to do with the purple leather, so I’d appreciate a recommendation!

I’m also proud of my find (Kate Bush Mini LP) also, Is 50 Words for Snow - Kate Bush heavily sought after

This morning on my drive to work, I shuffled my liked music and Snowed in at Wheeler Street played. It gave me chills as I was listening to it and it reminded me that a couple years ago (maybe in 2024) I saw the album, 50 words for snow for sale. It was over $70 and at the time I was fairly new to records and couldn’t justify purchasing it. Now I kind of regret it, because I’ve started collecting her records and fwfs is one of my favorite albums.

But why was it over $70, I think the album came out in 2011, so it wasn’t new, and I feel like it wasn’t old enough to be a collectors item. Idk, was it limited press? Is it just cause people are obsessed with Late bush? Does anyone else have the vinyl? Was it worth the price?

Also I bought her mini LP recently for $15 which I think is a deal cause I’ve seen these sell for like $30-$50, so that’s cool

This LP is super cool, some guy selling vinyl
saw that I bought and asked to play it in his store which is fun. The infant kids in French is beautiful, and James and the cold gun is one of my favorite songs by her. So this LP is a score fs

Roadtrip to Dallas

Probably not the prettiest pic you’ve seen on here, but I loved how immense the sky looked, and I had to save it.

Should I get the U-turn orbit turntable?

As a house warming gift to myself I really want to buy a good audio setup. I have a record player but it’s a hand me down and it’s not as high quality as I’d like it to be, so I’m considering getting the U-turn Orbit Special turntable. It’s a lot of money (for me) and I just want to know if it’s worth it.

In terms of specs I’m not too informed, it seems more or less the same as other turntables for similar prices. However, what sold me was the blue body. I just really like it. Sadly I’m a bit vain so aesthetics do play a role in my choices lol

Another turntable I was contemplating on is the AT-LP120XUSB Direct Drive Turntable. I do like the silver, and I like that it has a 78 RPM speed. I have some singles and older records so that is kind of important. Additionally I’ve been able to find them for cheaper than the U-turn.

I’m also totally open to speaker recs please, that’s probably going to be my next post lol

Got my first real job, I don’t know where to start

As the title says, I just got my first full time adult feeling job, and I have a lot of ambitions with the money I’m making. It’s $20/hr, which isn’t the best I know, but my last job was only $10 so it’s a definite improvement.

This job feels like taking the first step towards a future, which I haven’t felt in a while. It’s inspired to plan for my future again, however I don’t know where to start. I’ve never had a credit card, and I have a rather low credit score so I haven’t been approved for one lol

My goals:
• start a 401k
•start investing
•get a credit card
•pay off debts
•start a small business/side hustle

My father said he’d help me co-sign for a credit card, he has really good credit. My job doesn’t match 401k, but I’d still like to open an account if I could. I’m young and want to save for the future. Some other financial goals are, I think id be able to pay off most of my debts by the end of the year, also I want to buy a new laptop. Additionally, I’ve been wanting to start a business in contemporary art and antiquity appraisal and like a podcast, but that’s more longterm I suppose.

I’ve also been interested in a Roth IRA, but idk if that’s applicable for me, is that something worth looking into?

I guess my reason for making this post is, what should my next steps be? What accounts should I open?
