My shitty phone camera could not REMOTELY convey any of the nuance and depth of this lighting situation and some of these photos are indeed actually quite bad from a technical quality perspective (I literally don't know what's even happening that the noise was such a mess in that last image), but trust me bro it was really cool IRL😂 hope some of you also got to witness it!

In Boulder, CO today

Juvenile RTH hole inspection services, meadow vole, bullsnake buddy, two different Swainson's hawks, prairie dog sploot, truly voluptuous american bullfrog, red-femured milkweed borer, variegated meadowhawk, eastern kingbirds (a toooon of these dudes passing through right now), very foxy young coyote, and an usually green Woodhouse's toad.
