In a bit of a bind, I know it’s a big ask just not a ton of options available to me at the moment & this is my only vehicle so I can’t really afford to delay repairs. :/

My dad is thankfully helping me out with some of the cost without needing to repay him, but he’s unable to cover the entire thing.

I have a current loan of $65 out with u/legalPeddler who has given me permission to make this post & one other previously completed loan repaid on time. I thankfully get paid this week on the 17th & have no bills to worry about out of this paycheck so repayment is no issue. Can verify all necessary info as well.

I’m so annoyed with myself & Mercari support. I’ve had my account since 2020 & it’s connected to an old email & old phone number. I haven’t sold anything in a while but just recently sold a couple items over the last 2 days & realized I needed to change my bank/payment info. I didn’t wanna have any issues pulling out my pending funds from these sales so I put in a request to change my email & phone number. After some back & forth with support I was able to successfully do so, however shortly after doing so I got a notification that my account had been “temporarily limited” pending ID verification. The issue is my ID is already verified in the app…I’ve signed in & out several times & nothing has changed. Sent in a new support inquiry & crickets. Has anyone run into this before? Trying to resolve before the buyers receive & accept their items that way I can access my money.

UPDATE: After several days, numerous emails/app chats with support & multiple phone calls to support, one time in which I was able to speak with a supervisor, I received the pop-up in the app to re-upload my ID for verification along with a message from an actual account specialist. Timeline from changing my email address up until today has been about 4 days, decided it was better to stay on top of it just in case it didn’t resolve quickly on its own. Just in case anyone reading is in the same boat.
