i've been driving a manual car for 20 years since i learned how to drive. and i think this will be my last one. I've been having issues with my clutch, and it's almost impossible to find someone to work on my car. Tried one old timer mechanic and he did the best he could but ultimately told me it would be best to take it to the dealership (VW), I take it to the dealership and theres ONE mechanic there who can even drive it. I've got valet drivers crashing my car into things instead of admitting they cant drive my car. I'M OVER IT.

I am trying to get in contact with ANYONE who could possibly work for PSE&G (or any other utility companies) in central/north NJ doing GIS. Linkedin is supposed to be for being able to connect with people, but you cant even send messages to people unless your friends without premium.

2019 Volkswagen Golf sportwagen-manual- ~80,000 miles.

Last year, had issues with my clutch going to the floor and not coming back up (clutch would come up when I lifted it with my foot). Mechanic bled the line and that solved the issue for one year. Now having the same issue, so my mechanic replaced the master cylinder, I drove it home but it felt slightly off (tried to just hope that it was because there was a new part that made it feel different). Went to drive my car the next day and the clutch is on the floor again.

My mechanic DID warn me that the slave cylinder may also need to be replaced. But I got my hopes up and now I’m annoyed replacing the master cylinder didn’t fix it, as he made it seem like that was likely the problem.

My issue- I guess I’m a little hesitant that this guy truly knows what he’s doing. He had mentioned that
He just doesn’t work on manuals anymore, and honestly I’m sure not many mechanics do unless they’re a super expensive euro auto shop.

Do I take it to another mechanic? Or just go back to this guy who does seem to know what he’s talking about? He is pretty reasonably priced and it seems like replacing the slave cylinder will be over a thousand dollars to fix.

Will replacing the slave cylinder likely solve my problem for good so I don’t need to stress about this anymore?

Are there any other issues that it could be? Is it possible he just didn’t bleed the lines enough??

Has anyone else been keeping tabs on roen horn from the wild boys podcast? I’ve been following him for years and his behavior, although started strange, has escalated to a point where I’m concerned for a woman’s safety. I’ve watched him live on the streets, drink his own urine while speaking in tongues, and now his new thing is a hyper para social relationship with a faith singer named Kim walker smith. Every day he posts multiple AI generated videos of them together kissing and sexualizing her, videos of him professing his love for this woman he’s never met (who is married btw), begging her to love him and marry him and not to leave him a virgin forever lol

Thank god he doesn’t have any money to travel and getting anywhere close to this woman because I really worry about what would happen if he managed to get himself in the same room as her.

It’s unsettling to watch. He spends all his time thinking about her instead of getting his life together and managing his mental and physical health (he’s looking so rough) so he can foster a healthy relationship with anyone else. Currently he has nothing to offer anyone, if he wants a relationship he’s gotta put in the work to better himself in so many ways.

It’s unclear if this woman is seeing his content, he never tags her in anything, he’s really just talking into the void. I hope she’s aware and is taking precautions.

Has anyone used this pattern?? I can't seem to find any examples. I'd love to see it if you have!

I’ve been unemployed since July, and Im mostly only getting contacted about entry level positions. They always sound super skeptical that I even applied for the position based on my experience and don’t even want to put me through the interview process because they’re worried it’ll be a waste of time, but I’m not getting ANY calls for any senior positions. I either have too much experience or not enough.

I am not in the position to turn down a 60k job when I’m currently making nothing (my last job I made 108k).

I’m really concerned that if I take an entry level job, it’ll be harder for me to quickly find something with better pay. I’m worried any hiring manager will see I took a low paying job and not want to hire me. I KNOW they’ll have a lot of will questions about that. Do I take the lower paying job in my field or do I hold out for a more senior title.

(If I were to take the lower level job I would immediately continue looking for a better one.)
