ICICI Coral → Amazon Pay ICICI route: legitimate or will it hurt my CIBIL?

ICICI Coral → Amazon Pay ICICI route: legitimate or will it hurt my CIBIL?

Hey everyone,
I need some advice regarding getting the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card.

I have tried applying for the Amazon Pay ICICI card before, but my application was rejected.
My employer has a corporate relationship with ICICI and HDFC
I currently have an SBI Tata Neu Credit Card with ₹28,000 limit
HDFC MoneyBack+ with ₹84,000 limit

I recently spoke to ICICI regarding the Amazon Pay ICICI card. The bank representative told me that the best route for me would be to first get an ICICI Coral Credit Card through my corporate account relationship. Once the Coral is approved, they said they can get the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card approved/issued, after which I can close the Coral card.

They specifically suggested this as a way to get the Amazon Pay card because my direct Amazon Pay application was rejected.

I have a few questions:
Is this actually a legitimate ICICI process? Has anyone here obtained Amazon Pay ICICI through a similar Coral → Amazon Pay route?

If I get the Coral first and then apply for/receive Amazon Pay ICICI, will ICICI treat this as an internal upgrade/product conversion or will it involve another hard enquiry?

If I eventually close the Coral after getting Amazon Pay ICICI, will closing the Coral shortly after opening it negatively affect my CIBIL/credit score?
Does having two ICICI cards instead of one have any advantage for future ICICI card upgrades/limits?

Would it be better to keep Coral open rather than close it, especially if it is lifetime-free through my employer’s corporate relationship?

Has anyone actually done this recently and can confirm whether the RM/employee’s promise that Amazon Pay ICICI can be issued after Coral approval is genuine?

Is there any possibility that getting Coral approved does not guarantee Amazon Pay ICICI approval, and I could end up with another unnecessary card and another enquiry?

My main concern is that I don’t want to apply for Coral, get another hard enquiry, then apply for Amazon Pay ICICI and get another enquiry/rejection, only to end up closing Coral shortly afterwards.
I would really appreciate experiences from people who have gone through the ICICI corporate relationship → Coral → Amazon Pay ICICI route.

Thanks!

If you’ve completed ACCA (or are close), please share honestly current students need real guidance 🙏

I’m currently pursuing ACCA and would genuinely appreciate some transparency from those who’ve been through the journey. There’s a lot of mixed information online, so it would really help to hear real experiences.

Year you completed ACCA

Your starting salary vs current salary (with breakup if possible – fixed vs variable)

Total years of experience post-ACCA

Industries/roles you’ve worked in + current role

Country you’re working in (important for context)

What actually worked for you career-wise after ACCA

What didn’t work / mistakes to avoid

Reality check: Was ACCA worth it for you?
