Pro Wheel Deck from Advanced Sim Racing.

I'm thinking of getting the Pro Wheel Deck from Advanced Sim Racing.

--

  • I was wondering if anyone has owned it and what was your experienced like?

  • How stable is it?

  • Is it solid? Does it move when you apply pressure into your high torque steering wheel?

  • Is it smooth? When making adjustments, does your wheel slide / glide smoothly forward, backward, up, and down?

Wreckfest for PS5?

I have the PS5 console. Planning to get this game, but need clarification as to what I should get.

  • Wreckfest - Complete Edition (PS4). This one has season 1 and 2.

  • Wreckfest - Playstation 5 Version. This one does not have season 1 and 2? I have to buy these 2 season separately? What is so special about this version?

Thanks.

Compatibility help.

I recently finished building the advanced sim racing ASR 4 Chassis.

--

I was wondering if the Logitech G Pro Racing Pedals would be compatible with this chassis. What I'm interested in is remove all 3 pedals from the logitech base plate, and then mount the pedals themselves directly into the rig.

--

Based on my preliminatory research, it does not seem that this is something that I can do because the Logitech pedals does not have the propery mounting holes for it. So I'm here to double check with you guys/gals. Hoping that I am wrong.

--

Here is the minute mark of a video that show the mounting hole on these pedals.

Thanks.

Beginner questions about battery

I recently started the hobby. One of the battery I picked up at my local RC shop is SMC HCL-HP 14.8V 6400mAh 150C LCG Hardcase Lipo Battery. Model: SMC64150-4S1P.

--

Is SMC a high quality and reliable brand? I ask because on the 3rd charge, the battery went bad. It turns out that one of the cell is bad. Going through the warranty process now.

--

I'm not looking for batteries that is high performance while it sacrefies reliability, safety, and quality. Would you mind making some recommendation on brands and specific 4S LIPO models? If I can buy them off Amazon that would be a plus, but not required.

Thanks.

Buying from SVS.

I want to try a subwoofer out, and SVS has a policy where you get 45 day risk-free in-home trial.

--

I was wondering if anyone of you had ordered form SVS and then return the product because it did not meet their expectation within the 45 days window.

--

What was your return experience? Would you order again from SVS?

--

Are there other online home theater sellers that you would recommend that also have risk free in home trial?

Thanks.

Line IQ: useful or gimmic?

I'm in the market for a new string trimmer. If you happen to own any version of the string timmer with LINE IQ, would you mind please share your experience?

  • At the end of the day, is Line IQ a revolutionary feature or useless marketting gimmic?

  • Would you prefer to go back to the version without LINE IQ?

  • If Line IQ is better, is it significantly better than the tool with no Line IQ, or just marginally?

  • I remove the head cover on my current string trimmer. Does LINE IQ requires the head cover to be there for it to work?

Thanks.

Double check please.

I'm in the market for a string trimmer. I figured I'm going to get the latest generation, and also one that can swap out to a bristle so I can use it during the winter for snow.

--

Could you please double check and confirm all 3 products is the latest generation that EGO offer, and all 3 products will work together?

Thanks

Blu-ray player recommendations.

Looking for a high quality blu-ray player that support the latest 4k format. I don't care about 3D. Just want support for the latest 4k UHD HDR++++ and dolby vision & atmos support.

  • If the player allow me to load multiple disc, that would be awesome. Like cd player back in the day.

Thanks.

Cable price?

Is it worth it to buy crazy expensive cables at this AWG and length? I need cable to connect from my receiver to my left and right channel tower speakers.

Thanks.

Linear vs Class H power supply.

I'm in the market for a single external amplifer to power my LCR. I was wondering if I should go an external amp that uses a linear power supply or an external amp that uses a Class H power supply. My setup is mainly for watching 4k movies. I have the following speakers:

  • SVS Ultra Evolution Titan for LR
  • SVS Ultra Evolution Center for C

--

  • L channel needs 300 watt at 4ohm
  • C channel needs 225 watt at 4 ohm
  • R channel needs 300 watt at 4 ohm

--

I talked to the SVS rep, and that's what they recommended in term of power requirement for the external amplifier.

Thanks.

Help. 2 requests. long post.

I already own:

  • svs ultra evolution center

  • pb-2000 pro. Receiver set to off load anything 80hz and below to the sub. Thus the LR speakers are set at not full range speaker.

  • will get the svs ultra evolution titan

  • my setup is for family watching 4k movies

1st request.

--

Recommended external amp is 300 watts at 4 ohms for the titan. I plan to bi-amp these speakers. Could you please recommend a 2 channels external amp? I'm looking for a product that is high quality, high reliability, and without useless gimmicy featurres.

--

I plan to buy 2x (2 channels external amp). 1 amp power 1 titan speaker.

--

Since I already offload the low frequency to my sub, that means that the titan speaker will never have to produce these frequencies. To the best of my understanding the low frequencies are the one that requires the most power to produce. Thus the titan speakers will never reach their 300 watt power draw? Thus I do not really have to get an external amp that is capable of 300 watts max power?

2nd request.

--

What if I don't get external amps, but get a super high end receiver?

This receiver is capable of 150W per channel. If I bi-amp the titan from this receiver, I'm supplying a total of 300 watts to it. Should this get me to at least 90% of the quality of using external amps? This way, there are less parts and less wires. A less messy overall setup.

Thanks.

Not acoustically treated large room.

I'm at the start of my journey to build out my atmos system. After plenty of research, I've come to the conclusion that it is pointless to spend thousands of dollars, if the environment is not properlly sound treated.

  • Please correct me if I'm wrong.

--

So say, my living room is an open concept room, it's 35 x 25 feet. It has many tinted large windows with no curtains. The floor is hardwood. Counter tops are granite. The ceiling is 11 feet tall. Even if I get the highest end speakers, wouldn't sound just be bouncing all over the place? And thus, all those reverberations pretty much kill the quality of the audio? Money down the drain?

--

Should the first thing I do is to accoustically treat my room, and then buy the high quality speakers?

--

Thanks.

My current set up is 3.1 for 4k movie watching with the following speakers:

  • LR: Klipsch rp-5000f
  • center: svs ultra evolution center
  • subwoofer: pb-2000 pro
  • crossover set to 80 Hz for the sub to handle.

--

I'm upgrading my LR, and moving my LR to the surround position in a 5.1 setup. I've narrowed it down to Klipsch rp-8000F II or the SVS Ultra Evolution Tower.

--

I figured that since I'm already off loading the low frequency to my subwoffer, and have great dialog clarity from the center, the Klipsch is the better choice for my use case.

  • The price difference is huge.

  • Will the force-balanced woofer array design on the SVS create any noticeable difference compare to the Klipsch when it comes to movie watching?

--

Thoughts, and reason? If you have any other recommendation, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I was wondering if I can get suggestions on what I can do with my current living room setup. It's an open concept living room. No sound treatment in the room. The floor is hardwood. Please see picture below.

  • picture: https://i.imgur.com/gifd73z.png

  • I currently have a 3.1 setup. My wife and I do not want to put speaker in the middle of the room. As a family, we watch 4k movies. I currently have a 7.2 channel receiver that is dolby atmos compatible.

  • There are 2 problems that I can think of if I put rear surround on the back wall. 1) According to dolby recommendation, the rear wall is way too far from the main sitting position. 2) Even if I put the speakers on the rear wall, the speaker would stick out significantly from the wall, thus get in the way of people just walking since it would be mounted slightly higher than ear level.

  • The best scenario that I can think of is add 4 more speakers on the ceiling as height speaker for dolby atmos. I just do not see a way to be able to add surround and rear surround speakers with my current room.

  • Does it even make sense to have a 3.1.4 setup? How drastic of an improvement is it to our movie watching experience upgrading to a 3.1.4 setup?

  • Should I just go with 3.1.2 setup and call it a way?

--

Thanks.

First of all. I just want to say thank you to helping me setup my current kick ass 2.1 setup. My family movie watching experience now is 1000x what it was before. The sound coming out of 4k hdr movie is amazing.

--

Next step is upgrade to 5.1.2. So I was wondering if you could help me pick out the correct speakers. I need the following:

  • A pair of speaker that goes behind the viewers. These will be mounted to a wall, and pointed to the viewers' ears.

  • A pair of speaker that goes above the viewers' head. It will be mounted to the ceiling, and poited toward the viewers' ears. These will be height speakers for Dolby Atmos.

--

Thanks again.

My current setup is as follow:

  • Klipsch RP-5000F Floorstanding speakers for L and R

  • SVS Ultra Evolution Center

  • SVS PB-2000 Pro Subwoofer

  • Denon 7.1 AVR-X1800H 7.2 channel capable
