Moved to Freedom for secondary line
As the title says, I was paying $73 including taxes on my secondary line, more than my primary line ($53). Checked Freedom plans and got a deal for a $40 plan with 70GB data with digital discount. Got a call from Rogers day after asking to come back with a $35 plan on Fido. I said I don’t want Fido, give me Rogers, agent shared $45 plan. I said why would I switch to pay extra again with you. 🫠
He shamefully disconnected the call saying this is the best they can offer.
Source Input selection tiles
For some reason, my TV remote source won’t switch when selecting the appropriate device, on Projectivity launcher I could select the source input. Wonder if that can be implemented with Monet. Switched two days back, loving everything so far.
Thank you!
Edit: It already exists. I couldn’t find it earlier. Thanks again.
Manual (USB) Firmware update - U68QG (2025, CA model)
If you are stuck on download error and would like to update your TV (Model in title), you will need to download the firmware package and update manually. Once you have download the firmware package from the Hisense website, follow below procedure to update the TV:
- Connect the USB drive (FAT32) containing firmware package to the TV
- Turn off the TV and unplug the power cable
- Plug in the power cable
- Turn on the TV, immediately after pressing power button, press and hold the volume down button until the TV enter into recovery mode
Update will happen without any other manual input so sit back and relax as it will take ~15 minutes to update.
Warning: Doing a manual firmware update will erase all the settings/account, so do it when you have enough time.
My TV was able to detect the update when checking for update, but it won't download. So I had to do it manually. The update pop was annoying until I managed to get rid of it. I use an Apple TV box though so don't really care what Firmware the TV ran upon unless some real benefits.
Good luck!
Charges on new connection
I added a new line to my existing account. They said to avoid the setup fee for online orders, which they did remove from the bill, but does everything else make sense?
