This little one has been crying In this tree for over an hour and I am not sure what to do? There are a bunch of crows around - maybe they are signalling predators - but I am scared they are hurt. Anyone know what to do?
My (24F) mother (60) told me she is not interested in being my mom anymore and helping me navigate life unless I do the same in return. Backstory; my mom comes from a very emotionally toxic and narcissistic background resulting in her being stuck in her trauma. She knows this and uses it to justify her behaviour instead of moving forward.
I have been working hard in therapy trying to heal my own wounds, therefore I am not willing to enable her toxic patterns. I told her this, in addition to telling her I believe she would do well with therapy which resulted in her calling me cruel and saying she doesn’t want to be my mother anymore. I have been the parentified daughter for too long and I cannot keep neglecting my own needs. However, I don’t believe in 100% cutting people off and she has been supporting me financially through school (however she liked to throw this back in my face to gain the upper hand) and I’ve tried talking with her multiple times but it goes nowhere and creates bigger issues. I do not know what to do at this point. Advice is needed!
