Peach or rose?

Peach or rose?

I have been wearing muted rose palettes, so I pulled out my peach make up and tried it on (left) and suddenly I’m liking it again. The lip is MAC devoted to chilli, but very light and blurred, with a peachy blush and a more muted light-med filter foundation mixed with a neutral foundation.

On the right is my usual dusty rose blush muted blue red lip on a lighter serum foundation mixed in with a lighter filter. I don’t usually wear the lip this heavy, I like to blur them out, but was trying out a new product.

Different days, but same light and same time of day.

Single copper-peach eyeshadow

I’m a bit obsessed with this peachy copper eyeshadow from the Revolution True Icon palette. I understand it’s a dupe for Patrick Ta but seems more vibrant.

Has anyone come across a single eyeshadow like this? Or even a duo of soft orange with a gold/copper shimmer I can layer? I don’t want to buy an entire palette for one colour!

Australis

Does anyone still use this brand? It was one of the first brands I used as a teen (80s), and one lipstick I chased in discount bins, outlets and eventually eBay for years.

Recently I bought the Hazy Days eyeshadow palette with my grocery order and been using it regularly. Have nearly panned Rust.

The website has a lot of labelled testers that I’ve just ordered for $3-4 each! Has anyone tried these? I’ve gotten mostly skin tints in different shades and primers. I won’t be mad about having to mix shades at that price, and at 50 I’m actually new to primers.

Language teachers

I’m curious about language (but also music, art, etc) teaching in Australian schools and what direction people in the profession feel it is going? We have had 3 language teachers so far this year in our school. It takes 2-3 weeks for them to train, then after a few weeks they leave. I know there’s a bigger shortage, not many doing dual language/teaching quals to begin with, they’re overworked across multiple schools, there’s far better career opportunities for bilingual teachers, and probably really hard or nearly impossible for schools to change their language.

So where do teachers think this area of the curriculum is going? Our school teaches Japanese which I think hasn’t been relevant since the 90s. I myself learned German in the 80s. Even French or Latin would have been more useful as I ended up doing literature. Should we go back to Greek and Latin to support learning English etymology?

Every plate spam

Anyone else getting constant calls from every plate after trialling? I’ve trialled many of the meal kits but this one is just constant. It has been almost a year since I tried it, and they’re still calling from different numbers.

This is one item we can’t always test, especially when purchasing online. What ingredients should I be looking for if I’m wanting to line my waterline?

Looking at Amazon, “kohl” can mean anything and is often attached to “waterproof “, so I’m not asking about keywords or product recommendations (we’re all in different countries too). If anyone knows, can you please shed light on the science of it, what to look for, what to avoid!

I am late to the Trent Dalton books, and am wondering if anyone has mapped out the worlds ? As in recreated or overlaid the Brisbane street map real and fictional as per the descriptions in the texts?

As an aside, has this been done with Bluey LOL.
