Please vote what your situation is:
I will go through all the responses and tally up the results, then share the final results once we are all finished. This has always interested me so hopefully others want to be involved in the outcome too

Does South America not use ‘vale’?

My cousin who was in SA for a while said that apparently to say ‘OK’, they don’t say ‘Vale’ - that’s a Spanish thing. Instead other words are used, and the whole time they’ve been saying Dale instead of Vale, and I’m just mishearing.

Is this true? I would have thought in SA ‘vale’ is also a very common word… would like to know opinions and countries/regions they come from

Noob question about US Nationals 5k

I’ve just looked up the women’s track 5k record (about 14 mins), while the winner of the 5k track just now was 15mins. How can they be a minute slower?

This is the same difference as the US champ in 100m getting 10.3s compared to bolts 9.58 (which surely couldn’t happen)- so why would their be such a disparity?

Is the world record just that much faster that the WR holder could have lapped the US national champ?

What are the translations in form X = instead of Y =

We have moving up/down k on the y axis: y = f(x) +- k

Moving left / right k on the x axis: y = f(x+-k)

What about for the same graph, if you have x = f(y)? (IE, for S/D curves, you typically have quantity as a function of Price instead), how do these change?

Are these really 0 Nic?

I bought these of Haypp and they helped me quit zyns. But I’m pretty sure they have nicotine as I still feel the same shitty withdrawal esque symptoms when I wake up, and I can’t go long without one in…

I learnt Spanish growing up but was never fluent. Pretty well versed though - wondering if paid lessons could still be worth it even though I know a lot already, or if self teaching is the best (study, reading, studying tv, etc)

1st image is when I set the view to just 25 April. 2nd is just 24 April. 3rd is 24-25 April. Why isn’t the profit in both days the total of the individual days?
