First, it seems every anchor is working every and any shift.
NOW I see the guy with the biggest time bank of vacation days in labor history, Paul Konrad, doing MIDDAY weather?
The morning “A” Team had the clout previously to do anything, which meant do nothing extra, but now I see Tomasulo on other shifts, Konrad here, what’s next? Potash and Robin holding firm … so far.
Are the bosses demanding more work, less exclusivity?

Had to buy a family member a car fast, found a tight, well-maintained car with only one issue-balky touch screen.
I can get functions to work via console keys, but the screen has intermittent fade to black reboots, touch performance finicky.
Is this just a display issue and can I just pop a new one in or is there anything I should try first OR just enjoy the car sans display? 110K miles, Soul Red, really nice car!

I noticed on a report tonight, which was apparently a local crime cavalcade by Andrea Medina, that instead of showing footage pertaining to the incident she was reporting, they played a highly produced, dark and moody montage of wet pavement, flashing blue and red lights. In the upper left the bug read “FILE”, but this was clearly a “scare the suburbanites” production about the dirty city. It was as if Dick Wolf was producing the clip.
This must be the Nexstar formula, right?

“Think” I pulled a calf muscle 5 days ago by jumping (yes) while acting out a joke. Don’t ask what.
Heard an immediate pop and felt an abrupt awkward movement left leg mid calf, inboard. First day, iced it sort of, elevated it a bit. Next few days, very sore but was able lurch around and stand with elastic wrap, OK. Calf was tight, but not getting worse.
TODAY woke to much more tightness, aching. THEN a contractor hit a gas line on my property so there was a 2 hour burst of movement, walking without regard to any pain. To make matters worse, I then immediately spent 3 hours in a driving position, and now I can only move with the aid of a walker, calf feels and looks big! Not hot. No fever. When elevated minimal pain but walking is impossible. Light bruising now somewhat apparent, yellow caste actually.
I am on Eliquis for paroxysmal afib 5mg/2x and had brachy procedure for prostate cancer 10 weeks ago.
Feels like it suddenly got worse.
Worthy of ER visit or normal for a tear caused by something stupid?

40 years on heavily wooded hardwood (oak and hickory) lot, I learned to live with patchy lawn, exposed roots, dust, mud, kids, varmints.
Two years ago hired local “Sodfather” who told me he could fix things, and dammit, in year 2 I am looking good and wondering why I waited-this guy re-seeded with his own shade blend and I’m thrilled.
Problem is for the first time in some time I am getting areas of broadleaf weeds, predominantly, but not exclusively dandelion (some clover).
In the past, TruGreen at least did that weed part well, but the Sodfather made me swear to use only Milogorite, which I have.
I pull as many as I can by hand, but I need a treatment that won’t damage tender turf or trees. Easier the better!
If you wonder why I’m not asking the Sodfather, well he has some health issues and I’m not scustimad that way.
Any spray stuff, hose-end or broadcast that won’t violate my Milogorite pledge that works?

Our “family heirloom” is a 1983 Samsung microwave, STILL WORKING that has survived me as a newlywed, three different college dorms, three different states, several moves and IT STILL WORKS. Dial controlled, not a digital display anywhere. Mechanical bell alarm.

Pleasantly surprised to hear tonight on 9P cast TWO Trump stories, relatively on the nose and lengthy: the Bondi/Epstein dodging in her half-assed appearance with Congress behind closed doors AND Trump’s request for only thin, fit, dress uniformed military personnel to PAY THEIR OWN WAY to attend his shambolic UFC trailer park event at the Whitehouse.
I am impressed they told it unabridged, not softened much as usual.

Been on my heavily wooded lot for 40 years, by the end of May for 39 years, the oaks (mainly red and white but also pin and burr) would have packed my gutters with catkins and dusted my cars with pollen.
This year, bupkis! Nothing in woods behind me, it is as if the whole area is denuded.
Last fall was a bumper crop of acorns but another mild winter.
Climate change? Disease? What is it?

I went on Medicare a bit less than 2 years ago, extremely happy with Medicare and the BC/BS supplement I have. I elected to go with the dental coverage with the BC/BS policy, but I am finding out it really kind of sucks, doesn’t cover any work other than cleaning.
I have a couple root canals that I can’t delay much longer. Help me Reddit!

1. Dental savings, insurance or negotiate myself and pay cash?

2. If a product, who to choose?

3. Am I reading it right, might pay $70 a month to get $1000 max coverage?

4. If I pick a product, should I cancel BC/BS supplement or can/should both co-exist?

5. I had Delta Dental when working, any way to negotiate with them, does past coverage matter?

Any thoughts appreciated, I feel a tooth blowing up, certain a RC/crown is imminent!
