When to frame cabinets, fireplace, etc

Wall on the left will just be drywall

Far wall will have cabinets/book shelves on either end with electric fireplace and mounted TV in middle. Should I frame and run electrical for all of it now? Or finish the far wall, then build everything in front of it? Per my google searching a potential issue would be all the small drywall pieces, but wouldn’t that be an issue either way? Not sure what the normal order of operations is.

XPS rim joist and basement wall connection

I have 2 inch XPS and Great Stuff spray foam insulation in my rim joist area
I also have 2 inch XPS against exterior basement walls

I will soon be framing 2x4 walls. However, I am not sure on the final connection between the rim joist and wall insulation.

Part of the basement section, the rim joist was very barely recessed, and the XPS sits almost flush with the block wall. Other areas the rim joist is several inches recessed, and there is a fair amount of exposed wood between the wall and rim joist insulation.

Do I need to make sure everything is covered? I.e. using more, small strips of XPS as well as spray foam? Also, do I want to I want to leave any sort of gap between the bottom of the XPS on the wall and the concrete floor? I will be using pressure treated lumber as a base plate as well as sill gasket.

To subfloor or not to subfloor

That is the question. 1970s midwest home, trying to turn half the basement into a pretty straightforward play area.

Ideally, I would lay dricore subfloor throughout my basement. I would then add 2 inch XPS to exterior walls then frame walls on top of the dricore. I’m also going to paint the ceiling black.

I bought some dricore and put down a few rows to test. I was hoping all would miraculously be well but unsurprisingly it is very bouncy and loud in some places.

Part of our radon mitigation system involved the sealing of small cracks in the basement floor. If I go self-leveling concrete route, my understanding is I would need to grind all the paint off the floor for the primer to stick. It also seems like I would need a small boat load for the whole basement.
Another option seems to be trying to level the tall areas. This also seems like a large endeavor and could maybe mess up the slope of the basement floor?

Clearly I am a novice homeowner. What are my options here? I know some people also put down a poly vapor barrier and put flooring on top, but I imagine I’d run into the same creak problem if I did that. Definitely doesn’t have to be perfect, just looking for the best moisture control/protection and quality in proportion to money and/or effort. Thanks!

Crawl Space Questions

House in midwest, built in 1972. We had a radon mitigation system installed shortly after moving in 2 years ago. This included the vapor barrier in the crawl space. The exterior vents had a small piece of fiberglass insulation in them when we moved in, I since added block and foam insulation then re-added the fiberglass over that. The thought was with 90+% humidity outside, I didn't want that coming in and hitting the wood.

In the time before the vapor barrier was installed, I never saw standing water. However I did not spend much time in the crawl space unsurprisingly.

There was a clearly wet area in a corner where a clogged downspout caused water to pour against the foundation. I since cut the down spout and added extenders to direct the water 6+feet away into the backyard. The humidity in the crawl space is still often well into the 60+% range, sometimes even high 60s.

I have sprayed what looks like mold with Concrobium. Surprisingly, all the wood in the crawl space is <20% humidity per my device so I'm wondering if there were previous mold problems but less now. There has never been a bad smell or anything like that as long as we've lived here.

There is 1 HVAC duct into the crawl space. When the AC kicks on, I see the humidity normally go down by a few percentage points.

I bought a crawl space dehumidifier and am having an electrician put in a GFCI outlet on it's own breaker for it.

My questions (while maybe stupid, I am a relatively non-handy homeowner) are: What the heck else should I do? I have 2 inch XPS, should I put that along the exterior walls? Would it go outside or inside the vapor barrier? Should I get rid of the fiberglass insulation?
