Starting Pitchers for Royals Series

The Dodgers return home looking for their first win at home since July 30, with Tarik Skubal set to make his Dodger Stadium debut. If ever there were a team to snap the skid against, it’d be the Royals, who own the 4th-worst record in baseball—though, somehow, they’ve still won two more games than the Dodgers this month. LA will need to bank some wins with a four-game set against the MLB-leading Brewers immediately to follow.

Skubal gets Noah Cameron tonight, who’s been on a tear, going 7, 8, 8 innings in his last three starts while allowing just one run.

Tuesday brings another marquee matchup, with Snellzilla making his anticipated return to the mound opposite 35-year-old Michael Wacha, who’s been dealing to the tune of a 1.82 ERA since the All-Star break.

Pitching Matchups:

  1. Skubal vs. Noah Cameron (LHP, 4.37 ERA, 4.39 xERA, 3.73 FIP)
  2. Snell vs. Michael Wacha (RHP, 3.44 ERA, 4.17 xERA, 4.37 FIP)
  3. TBD vs. Royals Bullpen (5.36 ERA, 4.95 xERA, 4.81 FIP)

Starting Pitchers for Arizona Series

Dodgers kick off the second half of their road trip looking to earn their first win of the month and snap their recent skid. The Diamondbacks return home having won six of their last nine games, most recently splitting a four-game series with the Padres in San Diego.

Arizona will be battling to hold onto the National League's final Wild Card spot, with the surging Padres close behind. Meanwhile, Los Angeles will be aiming to halt its six-game losing streak and reclaim some of the division lead it has surrendered during the slump.

Pitching Matchups:

  1. Sasaki vs. Merrill Kelly (RHP, 5.04 ERA, 7.19 xERA, 5.66 FIP)
  2. Yamamoto vs. Brandon Pfaadt (RHP, 3.66 ERA, 3.81 xERA, 4.09 FIP)
  3. Wrobleski vs. Eduardo Rodriguez (LHP, 2.71 ERA, 4.88 xERA, 3.97 FIP)

ETA: Per Dave, it’ll be Skubal to kick off homestand with Royals, followed by Snell Tuesday.
