No phones in Book of Mormon bows!

Thought it was interesting that they held up the no phones signs during the bows at Book of Mormon recently. I’m neutral about filming bows although I only do it when I see most others doing it. I’ve noticed it’s more common in shows with a younger audience like Evita, John Proctor and Heathers. Was surprised that they specifically didn’t allow it for Book of Mormon. Thoughts?

Black salt alternatives?

Hello, baby vegan here. I’ve been looking for black salt (kala namak) because I’ve seen lots of people say it adds an eggy taste. I can’t find it in H&B or Waitrose (my dad will only buy food from these and Whole Foods - does anyone know if Whole Foods has it?) and my area doesn’t have a large Indian population so we don’t have any Indian supermarkets nearby (I’ve been told you can get it here). Are there any other foods that can add that eggy taste?

Cheese on a marinara?

At all the pizza places I’ve been to that I can remember, a marinara is just sauce and dough (I’m vegan and it’s often the only vegan option so I eat a lot of them 🫠). But I just got an order for a “seafood marinara” and the customer was unhappy because I didn’t add cheese. Is this an American thing? It’s not the first time I’ve got an order wrong because of American customs. In the UK “pigs in blankets” are mini sausages wrapped in bacon but I have since learned this is is different in the US!

Rush tickets for London?

I was genuinely so dumb and missed the London section of the website when the UK production was announced and only saw the tour dates which don’t include any in London (usually tours go to Wimbledon). Has anyone had any luck with the rush tickets? I’ve been trying the past 2 days and they genuinely disappear in a flash. I was gonna buy advance tickets for August today as they were originally £35 minimum but they’ve increased the price to £47 since yesterday 😭 I guess I just gotta keep trying at 10am every day

Edit: phone the box office! I just got a ticket for £30 (same as TodayTix) for tonight!

Acceptable ID in clubs?

My friend has a British student visa (not student ID but an actual government visa card) and I have a British provisional drivers license. Both are photo ID. Are these generally accepted in clubs? We can bring our passports although they may be difficult to fit in our purses

Tutoring/babysitting jobs

Hi! I want to get into tutoring or babysitting over this summer to earn some extra money but I can’t really find any good websites that don’t pay a subscription fee just to be useable. Does anyone have advice on how to get some jobs? Some info is below as well if anyone is interested.

I am available for both online and in person sessions and have a DBS certificate. I have just finished my A-level exams and am predicted an A in both maths and biology.
After receiving excellent grades in my iGCSE exams (9 in Maths, 8 in Biology, Chemistry, and Further Maths and 8s and 7s in other subjects) I know the value of having a good teacher and how important it is that students can connect well with their potential tutor. I also understand the skills needed to work together with a student to allow them to achieve their full potential. I have good communication and organisational skills allowing me to plan lessons in advance and work with tutees to create a plan that it suited to their specific goals.

I have experience in working with KS2 children and mentoring KS3 and GCSE pupils. For one year I spent an hour a week helping in Year Four lessons at a local primary school as well as planning and teaching my own half an hour lessons to Year 5s and 6s every Sunday for one term. In addition to this, I have helped younger members of my school House with their homework and preparation for tests and exams. I also have SEND experience as I spent a year volunteering in occupational therapy sessions at a local charity.

Please feel free to reply or private message me for more information including my rates and availability.

Relay delivery?

Does anyone have experience of how long relay usually take? Online it says 2-3 days but it’s been more than that and I’m just a little concerned as I’m moving away next week. I don’t like this vague tracking lol I’m so used to inpost telling me exactly which warehouse my package has been bounced around

Edit: ok so I once sent an item with relay a few months ago and i just checked and it took 8 days to arrive… feeling a bit stressed but it should come right before i go away if we take that window…

West end live queue

I’m going to west end live next week (saturday) but was wondering about the rules with folding chairs in the queue? We are thinking of buying a pair of telescopic folding stools to sit on while in the queue, but I noticed on the website it says these are not permitted inside the square. Some parts of the FAQs says they aren’t allowed to be used in the square, but some parts just say they aren’t allowed inside at all. Does anyone have experience of this? We are also planning to get there at 6am, is this considered very early? We aren’t too fussed about getting barricade, just want to get in to be honest.
