Sosem voltam jó alvó, de az utóbbi időben kimondottan rosszul alszom, ezáltal napközben is tompa és ingerlékeny vagyok. :(

Az elalvás "gyorsaságával" nincs gond, viszont ha érzem az ingert lefekvés előtt akár minimálisan is, hogy pisilnem kell, nem tudok addig elaludni, míg ki nem mentem.

De igazából ez nem sokat segít, mert elalvás után legkésőbb 2 órával ígyis-úgyis felkelek mégegyszer, mivel ki kell mennem a mosdóba. Ez sajnos gyerekkorom óta így van.

Ehhez még az is hozzájön, hogy nagyon felületesen alszom, bármilyen neszre, utcáról beszűrődő zajra egyből felriadok. Konkrétan arra is, ha hallom a kutyámat inni éjszaka.

A páromnak be van gyulladva a foga, a napokban nem alszik valami jól, ha felkel mellettem éjszaka, -pedig nem zajong vagy zavar szándékosan- felébredek én is a szokásos ébredéseimen kívül.

A mára virradó éjszaka során így legalább 10x keltem fel, nem is csoda, hogy olyan tompa vagyok, mint az állat, csak nézek ki a fejemből...előre látom, hogy ez fasza egy nap lesz...

I’m posting this on behalf of my close friend who is going through absolute hell with her Doberman right now. The dog just turned 4 years old, and their nightmare started back in early November.
It kicked off with severe diarrhea. The first vet diagnosed him with Giardia. He went through two full rounds of treatment, but the diarrhea didn’t improve at all. When they did follow-up bloodwork, his liver values came back terrible. The clinic assumed the liver strain was just a bad reaction to the heavy Giardia medications, so they put him on a 20-day liver support routine.
During this time, the diarrhea finally stopped, but then disaster struck—he swallowed a tennis ball. They had to rush him in for emergency surgery to remove it from his intestines. When they did the ultrasound for the blockage, the vet checked his liver and noted that the size looked completely normal, so they thought they were out of the woods regarding the liver issues.
Since the surgery, he has lost a lot of weight, and the diarrhea keeps coming back intermittently. They switched his food several times, but nothing really helped.
Frustrated with the lack of progress, they just went to a third vet clinic for a fresh perspective, and things took a massive turn. This new vet thinks the initial Giardia diagnosis was a mistake from the start. They explained that this genetically inherited liver disease (Hepatopathy) can actually cause gut issues and trigger false positives on certain Giardia tests.
Tomorrow, he is scheduled for a liver biopsy to get a definitive answer, but the vet is highly suspicious that it is copper-associated hepatopathy. In the meantime, they’ve already been given 6 different medications to fill today to stabilize him.
We are incredibly stressed. Has anyone else gone through this exact sequence of events with a Doberman? What are the survival rates and long-term outlook if the biopsy confirms it tomorrow? What are the different treatment paths or scenarios we should brace ourselves for?
Any advice, success stories, or honest experiences would mean the world right now. Thank you.
