I made another wintry map, and while it doesn't exactly fit the game I usually make maps for (Mythic Bastionland), it seems like a decent fit for Cairn! As usual with these, no setting attached -- let the map inspire your worldbuilding.

Please share what you think below and feel free to check my other maps (itch linked in my profile), most are Cairn-compatible and all can be downloaded for free. I haven't published this one on itch yet, since I want to get some feedback first, but it's perfectly usable in its current state... if you can live with how reddit compresses images :)

I made a new map, originally intended as a newer, expanded version of this map. It has not yet been published -- let me know what you think about it in the comments.

Hi friends, I've just uploaded a slightly bigger and definitely better version of my well-received Myth & Realm combo.

As always, free community copies are available at the bottom of the page.

Here's a link:

• The Watcher (Myth and custom Realm)

No AI was used -- all art sourced from public domain.

***

Feel free to check out my other MBL projects:

• Winter Follies (small Realm for the Ogre Myth)
• Isle of the Skygazer (medium/small Realm for 1-2 Myths)

I'd also like to thank this community for being so welcoming and kind. My previous posts got a lot of love here. I know kindness is not always the norm on reddit, so thank you all❤️

For my new collage Realm map, I've been experimenting with a new type of hex one of my friends dubbed the MULTI-HEX 💫

Let me know if they make the map more confusing, whether it's clear how they work, etc. What do you think about this collage style in general?

EDIT: Oh, and by the way, it's all public domain art, no AI!

I made yet another collage map and this one feels a bit Odd! Get it here (itch).

While the collection this map is a part of is now paid -- 6 collage maps are a lot of work -- free community copies are available at the bottom of the page if you are in a tight spot or want to take a better look first.

So yeah, it is essentially still free.

As always, no AI, public domain art only, all artists listed on the itch page.

This map, as all the other ones in the collection, should be used like a visual spark table. I have some setting ideas for it, but I haven't published anything yet. I feel it should work for Into the Odd or custom settings in other games.

Hey, I know some of you are tired of these (I see a small but noticeable number of downvotes every time I post here, lol), but I made yet another collage map! Get it here (itch).

Hey friends, I've been making collage hex maps for about 2 years now and my latest collection is definitely my best work to date! I've recently added a couple more and they all work great for small Mythic Bastionland Realms.

How to use them? Just like any other map, but Imagine each hex being a vignette, a small window into a location in the hex. Let the image inspire you and your players to paint the picture and visualize the space. Look at surrounding hexes and think of how they relate to each other.

I'm in a tight spot, so it's a paid project now, but I also decided to add Community Copies, so everyone can enjoy these maps regardless of financial situation. If you can't pay, please at least leave a rating or a comment, you'll make me feel better in these trying times ❤️

Winter Follies is a small, wintry Realm and a 14-hex, hi-res collage hex map -- both created by me for The Ogre, a fantastic Myth for Mythic Bastionland by Chris McDowall.

It's a pay-what-you-want product, which includes $0. No AI was used. All art sourced from public domain.

Please take a look and let me know what you think -- critical feedback welcome!

Hi, I made yet another map compatible with Mythic Bastionland and other fantasy hexcrawl games. You'll find a full-res version and a complete list of public domain artists here (itch).

As mentioned, no AI was used!

The maps in this collection don't have a setting attached to them. I encourage folks to let the map inspire them to create their own locations or adapt existing ones. If you're looking for a setting & map combo for Mythic Bastionland, check my other projects.

Let me know what you think!

Hi, I released a new map compatible with Into the Odd and other weird fiction games. You'll find a high-res version here:

Collage Hex Map Collection

As mentioned, no AI was used while making these.

Hi, I released a collection of new collage hex maps that I made of public domain art -- all artists listed on itch! It's a free download:

You'll find all of the maps I've published so far HERE.

Hi, I made a new map. No AI, all artworks in public domain. I haven't yet published this one on itch, it will be included in a larger collection.

Feel free to run a game on this map and let me know what you think below!

I made another small, collage hex map, this time with a depressing, wintry vibe ❄️ It's free, with an option to donate.

It should work fine for story-heavy, hex-crawl one-shots and it's 100% AI-free.

All art sourced from public domain, all artists listed on itch, so you can look them up, their art is amazing!

Hope you like it!

Hi,

New week, new collage map taken out of my digital drawer and dusted off. I made this one a couple of months ago and didn't exactly know what to do with it (I made way too many maps haha). I have a cool idea for it but I have not yet written it down.

It should work fine for one-shots. Check the new map HERE (itch).

Hope you like it, let me know :)

Hi folks! I published my Realm for Mythic Bastionland. A few months ago, I created this small Realm to test the game with my group and it was an amazing experience!

I decided to release it on itch -- I did all layout, design and made a collage hexmap for the Realm. I did NOT use AI to make any of it. Art from public domain.

I'm very happy with the end result. You'll find the whole package here:

https://bartosso-spiral.itch.io/isle-of-the-skygazer

It would make my day if you left a comment and gave me a follow if you like the Realm! Constructive feedback is also welcome.

Another collage hex map in my collage hex maps "portfolio" on itch.

No AI was used. Made by me in GIMP. All artworks from public domain, all artists listed on the project page. The map should be perfect for short games of Mythic Bastionland, Shadowdark, Cairn or Into the Odd.

I've made many more maps like this one (some big enough for a campaign) and I'm planning to publish them, eventually, so follow me on itch if you like the ones available so far and want more.

Leave a comment or rate the map on itch if you like it, it'll make my day.

My collage hex maps had been gathering dust in my digital drawer until I decided to start publishing them. I sadly have much less time to run games these days due to a family crisis and it would be a shame if these maps never had a chance to be used in play.

I've made many more maps like these since 2024 (some big enough for a campaign) and I'm planning to publish them, eventually, so follow me on itch if you like the ones available so far and want more.

Hi, I hope it's OK for a new member to post here.

Please let me know!

I published The Watcher the other day -- a short Myth & Realm ready-to-play combo for Mythic Bastionland. The Myth should work just as well as a regular Myth in a regular campaign, though. I also made a nice collage hex map for the Realm (check sample pics)!

It's my first fully independent layout work and my first MB module, so any feedback is welcome (as long as it's not mean-spirited, ofc). No AI was used!

All files in the project are free, so go grab them HERE and let me know what you think!
