Rough cost to insulate, tape, drywall 1700 sq/foot home in Toronto, Canada.
We are getting such a range of quotes it's making our heads spin. On the low end we have 13k CAD, high end 35k CAD.
Also, we have signed a contract with a GC with a bunch of estimates and line items. This is our first time doing a big renovation and as numbers slide up, we can only assume we can push back in areas to try and lower.
It feels like an awkward conversation to have with him as his quote is the high end quote and we're just now getting lower numbers. My partner and I are thinking that maybe somewhere in the middle of the high and low would be a fair number to target...so 23k CAD?
EI set times? Estimate?
Do we know how much time each artist will be allotted?
And is it confirmed that 10pm is end time? I saw online that some EI locations are 10:30.
Is Jesus feeding the multitudes with a few loaves of bread and fish meant to be taken literally or is it allegory?
In Mark 6, Jesus feeds 5000 and in Mark 8, 4000. Both times with a few loaves of bread and some fish.
So we have 9000 people that supposedly bore witness and were part of a miracle. These people would have told others. The Pharisee's knew of these miracles. Local Romans would have been aware. How was none of this documented at the time if this story is to be literal?
Why decades after Jesus death were these stories put onto paper?
What examples do we have of civilizations record keeping without any disruption during the supposed time of Noah's flood?
Having a discussion with a young earth creationist friend of mine, and the topic of record keeping was brought up.
Any concrete, indisputable records from any civilizations that would prove a global flood to be impossible to have occurred?
Are there references to Jesus or any supernatural claims found in the Dead Sea Scrolls or any other writings from that time period?
reddit.comDid the Dead Sea Scrolls contain current writings of the time or are they just copies of old manuscripts?
Jesus is nowhere to be found in the scrolls. I'm wondering if there's anything to take away from this?
What is the *science that proves a global flood event as described in Genesis?
I'm having a discussion with a family member about various archaeological finds that call into question some of the writings and timelines found in Exodus. Family member is asking if these findings are 'trying to disprove' the Bible. I'm of the opinion that honest scientists don't necessarily *try to disprove or prove anything, they just show their findings.
I'm wanting to give an example of a scientist with an agenda that is trying to prove something while ignoring all the evidence we have.
