GOSH this seems like forever ago! I can’t believe it’s been over 10 years since I was plastering my walls with magazine cutouts/posters and running an unsuccessful but very passionate video edit instagram account for these dorks!!! Somehow these two mags (plus the 2011 biebs) escaped mutilation because they have everything but the centrefold posters!!!

Such a throwback to flip through these magazines. I included the table of contents in case anyone is interested in seeing more!!!! these are some fat issues, too. also gosh look at little sab carpenter!!!

Oh hello!

The tiniest bit of pan on this blush I’ve had since 2018!!! I love this shade but I don’t think they make it anymore.

Wanting to get more into perfume and scents! Need some fun and cool recommendations, looking to be adventurous!

My collection is fully stocked by gifts. I have never once purchased a perfume for myself and I think it is time!! I would love some interesting recommendations, I’m looking for something truly unique!

My favourite out of the scents I own are Eilish no.1 and Daisy Love, and I think what I like about them is that they are sweet, a little creamy (??), and not too sharp or “fresh” to my nose. Forgive my terminology as I’ve only been lurking in subs for a couple weeks!

I am drawn to warm vanilla, I think, but I would like something not so vanilla forward as the Billie perfume. A while ago I had the Not A Perfume by JHAG in a sample and I liked to use it to layer but felt it wasn’t enough on its own. I’d like something deep, complex, warm but not wintery, unique and comfortable.

Please hit me with your recommendations!! TIA! Budget is very flexible but I’d love to not spend a bajillion bones.

My current collection is:

Eilish no. 1

Eilish no. 2

What should my next steps be here? I would like to use this perfume but I hate the broken atomizer.

Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs.

I need advice! I hope the action shot helps show what I’m working with here. I love this perfume, I’ve had it since it came out, but I never reach for it because of the atomizer! It has always been like this unfortunately.

I’m too nervous to pull the top parts off my other MJ perfumes because I don’t want them to break as well. I’ve tried to unclog it in case that’s the issue but no dice. I’m unsure where to go from here. Ideally I’d like to keep it in its bottle but I fear a transfer is necessary. I also have no idea how to even get it open to transfer it, it seems pretty solid honestly and I don’t want to break it any further.

Edit: thanks for the advice to everyone who offered their wisdom! LOL at everyone’s jokes omg it is actually a dangerous spray!!! It comes out at such a high velocity I have no idea how this happened!! I will buy another vessel for this perfume I think… maybe this is my chance to get a nice vintage bottle with a squeeze pump!

Mary Poppins bag butter bronzer

Got this for my 14th birthday and I am turning 25 this year. To be fair I’m pale and so I don’t use much but… over 10 years of almost everyday use! I’m not sure pan exists on this thing. It reminds me of the Mary Poppins bag. I only discovered project pan recently and after some reflection I have no idea how I haven’t finished it yet. I only have one other bronzer and it’s too dark so I rarely use it!

First ever project pan. Making goals for the summer!

I have/had a despicable collection. Definitely over-consumed my fair share of the makeup market. With all the palettes and products I’ve finished, given away or thrown out over the years I somehow still accumulate more. I’ve recently slimmed down my collection, throwing away a boatload of expired lippies, mascaras, foundations and concealers and this is what I’m left with!

I’ve vowed to myself NO MORE purchases unless necessary.

First pic is my planned pan project for the summer!! One palette, some lippies and various powder products. The other images are the rest of my collection!! I absolutely love all my makeup, and I wish I could preserve it forever but I need to use it!!!

This is my first project pan and I am stoked to keep it up. My days of browsing Sephora and the makeup aisle in the drugstore are over, no matter how painful it might be!! Wish me luck.

ISO too faced candlelight glow dupe/replacement

I’ve used this highlighter almost every day for the past 10 ish years give or take, and I especially love the pink shade and the shade they make mixed together.
Most pink highlighters are too pink, and most champagnes are too yellow. I am very fair and this is my holy grail highlighter for the perfect pearly subtle glow.

I’m looking for a dupe of each shade, nothing too chunky, very subtle but also not overly yellow or pink. Please help!!

Absolutely devastated. 6ish week check in. Beware of the last slide!!

Destroyed my middle finger in a drawer earlier. I’ve made so much progress this last month and a half building healthy (totally non obsessive) habits surrounding nail care (and skin/hair but that’s a different journey!) involving lots and lots and lots of jojoba oil and hand cream! Hoping the nail doesn’t fall off… it is truly the stuff of nightmares. I’d cross my fingers but it hurts too bad.

Products pic 1-4 & 6

1 coat OPI Natural nail base coat

1 coat The Manucurist Active Smooth shade 00

1 coat Essie Good to Go top coat

3 weeks of commitment as a lifetime nail biter and picker.

I’ve always had issues with biting my fingernails and picking at dry skin on my fingers which obviously resulted in damaged and yucky nails. For three weeks I’ve basically been slathering myself in jojoba oil, doing some cuticle pushing and wearing clear or neutral polish and it’s been working well so far. The hardest part is just the willpower it’s been taking to not constantly pick and bite. Mind over matter I guess.

I have a long way to go still with breaking bad habits and whatnot but it’s nice to see progress.

The first four pics are from yesterday afternoon wearing some opi natural nail base coat, and the last two (yikes) are from three weeks ago, a couple days after I stated oiling and taking good care of my nails.

Other than jojoba oil and some basic cuticle care, should I be doing anything extra to speed up this process??

So I frogged the cream! I couldn’t help myself. It’s for my mom and I wanted it to be perfect. Plenty of mistakes here and there but who cares. I’m super pleased! Thanks for all the comments earlier. If it was just for me, I probably would have dyed it or tried fun embroidery but I had a very specific vision I wanted to execute.

Only the center circle and immediate square are a pattern. The rest was just me wingin it!

5mm hook, Loops and threads yarn probably. Lost the labels long ago! Buttons from Amazon.

I will have to redo this. It is supposed to be a Mother’s Day gift!

u/beanscrochet — 4 months ago

Thanks everyone for all the input yesterday! So I decided to omit the orange as I was told it was just a small accent.

The blanket will be mostly the darker jewel tones with the bone cream colour, with small accents of the complimentary colours and browns.

I’m very excited about this!! Does anyone have any thoughts or things I should change? I also decided to look elsewhere and I found these fantastic free crochet along blankets that have insanely detailed patterns. I think I might do “faith” but I’m not sure yet. If anyone has opinions about this let me know! I have well over a year to finish this AND I’m unemployed! Easy money, as I’ll be well compensated too.

My sister has commissioned me to make a blanket for her good friends wedding as a gift.

First pic is the wedding palette she sent me with the colours the bride is mainly using marked off. How are the colours I’ve picked? Does anyone have some insight here?

I decided on the charlottes universe pattern.
