The dreaded bubbles

Hi all,

I have recently used 0.6mm walnut peel and stick veneer and it was perfect at application but then started to bubble over a couple of days. I habe tried the iron method and it helped for about 45 seconds 🤣

I then tried pinning a small hole and pressing them down but still no luck.

What is best to do try to get rid of these bubbles next? They are lighter in colour as I did a very (very) light sanding to highlight them.

Finishing advice

The title sounds dodgy as hell but anyway...

I have been working on a set of drawers to use at a bedside. I have veneered the whole thing with 0.6mm walnut veneer.

I applied one coat of French polish and then realised that continuing with French polish may not add much actual protection.

What do you recommend as the next layer? Do I continue with French polish or do i add a layer of dewaxed shellac and methylated spirit mix to then use a polyurethane varnish?

I prefer the wipe on stuff to the brush on, I just find it personally have more success.

Any advice welcome

Gold or silver jewellery?

I prefer gold but idk if im supposed to be gold or silver. My veins are not really blue or green, kind of a combo of both .

Also, excuse my veiny hands, nurses might like it though 😂

Toothpaste with both fluoride and hyroxyapetite

I have read that hydroxyapetite can be good for teeth, and i take my dental hygiene very seriously.

Is it good to have a toothpaste that contains both rather than choosing between one of the other? Or is using one at night and one in the morning better?

Also, if both in one toothpaste is better, anyone recommend a toothpaste that contains both that is available in the UK?

Thanks all

Breadboard starter kit recs

Hi all,

I am currently trying to learn more about electronics to make an attempt to further my career. I am currently an art director and props person and would love to move into better makes/more technical electronic engineering roles eventually.

I know im a long way off, and i really am starting fron scratch, but I would love to learn the basics.

Can anyone recommend a breadboard starter kit for me to play around with?

Online there are so many options, all with very slight and minimal variations so any advice on what to look out for is welcome :)

Thanks all, have a great day

Skyblock memories

Old enough to remember the days where you made shops on skyblock by coding a sign and made yourself a millionaire.

Also before block limits existed in skyblock.

And those good old times before people profited from minecraft servers and it was just pure vibes and silly chats

Back when it was just sheeps, cows and pigs. I actually remember being excited about wolves and cats and being able to tame them.

You made a world and could walk it end to end in less than 2 minutes.

The time when you could play with friends far away without having to pay

Oh the mems,

Anyway Ill go back to my rocking chair and crochet now, good day folkes.
