Stuck in my hotel for the day- what to order in? In lower manhattan!

Hey everyone- I’m here from London for 2 weeks and am staying in a hotel in lower manhattan for 2 days, I arrived yesterday but my luggage was lost (including my hand luggage which I was forced to check :/ ) the airline said it would arrive between 12-7pm, I’m getting some work done in the hotel today but want to order myself something nice for lunch & for dinner! Any recommendations? I don’t eat red meat but otherwise am willing to try anything!

Edit: my nearest subway station is prince st & I’m open to anything budget wise. Just needs to be deliverable !

Looking for particular grief support groups

Hey- in January of last year my boyfriend of 7 years died unexpectedly & I have tried 3 different support groups across London. They have been terrible- the first two I was the youngest person by maybe 50 years (I’m 23) and kept being told that it’s different because I have time to find a ‘new person’ & the third one I was told that i hadn’t suffered as much because he died unexpectedly. I’m wondering if anyone knows of any groups that maybe focus on younger people who have lost a partner? I had a look of I could join a young widow’s supply group but we weren’t married so I can’t. I live in north London but I’m willing to travel! Thank you!

Do I bring this up?

So i (23F) have started dating for the first time as an adult. January of last year my boyfriend of 7 years died unexpectedly & it for obvious reasons really changed my life, I’m unsure if i will ever fully move on but I’m in the process of taking some steps forward including starting (with the advice of my therapist) date casually. My question is do I bring up the fact that apart from my late boyfriend I’ve never slept with anyone else before? (before 2 weeks ago i hadn’t even kissed anyone else) i worry about bringing this up as it means I have to bring up my dead boyfriend & that feels like it would ruin the mood? Maybe I’m over thinking this.

First time in LA got two solo weeks what should i eat!

Hey I’m going to be in LA for 3 weeks at the end of July! I’m visiting for work from London & for the first two weeks I’m going to be spending most of the days alone & writing! I have never been before so hoping for some recommendations! I’m staying in Silver Lake & will have a car! I’m not picky but i don’t eat red meat!

Edit: i don’t really have a budget, definitely wanting to get some Mexican food and sushi (I’m looking at you crisp tuna rice, not available in the uk) & i know that LA is not a walkable city so I’m willing to travel bc I’m driving!

has anyone else been experiencing more racism?

Hello- i am 23 and have lived in the uk for 18 years. I came to this country as a refugee & was adopted by a white couple (i am mix races Sudanese & Egyptian), i have experienced my far share of racism through my life- went to a pretty white secondary school, lots of micro-aggressions, etc. however over the past 6-9 months i would say at least 2-3 times a month i have had much worse experiences. Last year i was followed home by two men with signs from some kind of anti-immigration protest, i was spat on and called a black c*nt in March, and yesterday i went swimming at Hampstead ponds & i over heard a woman say to her friend that she doesn’t want to ‘get infected by what that African probably has’ as she was clearly looking at me. I know that this page has a lot of racist rage posting but has anyone else noticed this/has any idea how to stop this?

Hey-
I’m currently working on a script for a project that will begin with a fast(ish) paced montage of very short clips & images (the best example of this i can think of is when Sydney in The Bear is trying new dishes and experimenting in S2) how would I write this in?
