If you ever find yourself in trouble, lost or trapped in the wilderness, the Goblin Rescuers will be happy to lend you a helping hand.

They would be delighted to help you and get you out of your predicament. They might however rob you afterwards.

So few people have seen it with their own eyes that it is often considered a legend.

With shining golden horns and a glowing white fleece, it appears seemingly from nowhere, gazing into your soul with its piercing cerulean eyes. Then it walks away silently and vanishes again.

The Lord of the Mountain.

The rocky paths of the Crimson Mountains are treacherous and challenging for the inexperienced.

Thankfully, you can always rely on the traditional Boar Tamers to deliver goods through the mountain range. Just make sure you don't mind your goods getting a little...musty!

Annisa Vyr earned her title of Great Warlock on numerous battlefields. She always remained calm, even when facing the most terrible of foes, keeping her mind at peace in order to prevail in combat.

Unfortunately, even her extensive battle experience could not prepare her for such an unexpected encounter in the local tavern!

When you're enjoying a drink at the Copper Arm tavern, please ensure that you don't bother other customers or cause any disturbances.

Otherwise, you'll be thrown out into the cold — but not before receiving a good dwarvish smack from Marhana 'Copper Arm' herself! You have been warned!

Even the most fearless adventurers know better than to enter the territory of the Thorn Tribe deep within the Boiling Desert.

Those who do try never return, and their damaged equipment is often later spotted being worn by the spiked warriors of the tribe as trophies... and warnings.

There once was a severe queen who ruled her kingdom with an iron fist. One day, a sorceress appeared before her throne and challenged her to a game of chess, promising to grant her one wish if she won.

Unfortunately, just as the queen was about to win, the offended witch struck the board, sending the chess pieces flying. Before the guards could stop her, she raised her hand and cast a terrible spell.

Years later, the Queen and her royal guard are still missing, the castle has since been abandoned, and the old realm has been swallowed up by the all-powerful Empire.

But some say that in the cold, desolate throne room, you can still hear echoes of the queen's voice. While others swear that they have seen the chess pieces move on the old board as if practising military manoeuvres.

The myth of the Gilded Blade tells the tale of a magical sword that was once wielded by the Gods themselves during the Great Battle a thousand years ago.

Only if a hero was brave and pious enough to travel far beyond the Boiling Desert and reach the summit of a peak so high that it touches the clouds would the sword appear before their eyes. They would then be chosen by the gods to receive this precious relic and become their divine instrument.

But this is obviously nothing but fairy tales and dusty legend.

Every fruit farmer knows the tale...

They always seem to appear from nowhere. With steps as light as a feather, they pluck your precious apples one by one from the trees before running away, no matter how well you guard your orchard!

There's no stopping them ! The Apple Thief !

Here's a closer look at my first fanzine contribution! 🍰

I was really lucky to take part in Secret Recipe, a fanzine centred around the Tales of video game series.

Drawing this piece made me want to find my old Game Boy Advance and play Tales of Phantasia again!
