Current NBA discourse/culture is the worst of any sport....ever.

I don't think that NBA fans actually watch the sport. Genuinely, I believe that most NBA fans either just like the culture that surround the sport, or watch clips on YouTube or reals to form their opinions and compared to other sports have such little knowledge of the history of the sport and are much more attached to players than teams. This is obviously anecdotal, and there are fans who are legitimate students of the game and are diehard fans of their team but short form media has ruined online and real life discussions of the sport. The media is reactionary and inflammatory and focus so much more on players than teams. Might be more of a rant than an unpopular opinion but basketball is such an awesome sport that is so accessible and unique but the culture and product leaves so much to be desired. Commentary sucks, players are divas, officiating is becoming borderline embarrassing and the fact that they advertise sports betting CONSTANTLY should be illegal. The league cares more about fanduel and shoe sales than the actual game. It's just such a shame that with all the talent in the league, its probably never been a worse time to be an NBA fan.

Don't go to the movies if you cant stay off your phone.

Removed from r/unpopularopinions for being too popular.

This has nothing to do with the family of 5 all on their phone with volume on during the Odyssey, I swear. What's the point of paying 16$ for a ticket, another 20+ on food and making the trip just to fucking scroll on Facebook or whatever these tech addicted douchecanoes are doing during the movie. This also applies to the "we should get together" people who beg you to make plans with them just to spend half the time on their phone, or showing you something on their phone. Truly the least interesting people in the world have to live vicariously thru other people and then make no effort to do anything in real life because its not as fun as their mindless scrolling. I think movies should be like stand-up shows in LA/NY/CHI where you check your phone when you enter. Why would you even need your phone anyways? For the people that say, "in case there's an emergency", that has been the case for all of existence. Emergencies can always happen. You can keep your phone on silent and check it in the hall if youre that paranoid. I feel like these same people form opinions on what they watch even tho they didnt even pay attention. Do these families leave the movie then proceed to not discuss or talk about what they just watched or do they pretend like they paid any attention?

Tip of my tongue pop punk song please help

Hey yall,

I was just listening to Real World by The Home Team and there's a part of it that sounds JUST LIKE the chorus of another pop-punk/ emo adjacent song like nearly identical. The part where he sings "we're not alo-one"...The guitar riff is the same and the song im thinking of even has a similar melody. A part of me thinks its a Mayday Parade song or something...either way it is killing me that its stuck in my head but I just can't fogure it out. A screenshot of the part of the song im talking g about will be in the comments so if anyone can give it a listen and let me know if you've figured it out PLEASE LET ME KNOW I'll owe u big time cus my brain can't handle this right now.
