I got my skrimps!!!!!

I got my skrimps this morning! I have been watching them all day, they are so entertaining. I drip acclimated for 2 hours and so far so good. I’ve never had neos before, but I’ve heard many times that they are sensitive. I’m a little nervous!

Anthropomorphism

Does anybody else deal with this??? My male betta is all alone in a 10 gallon, and in my head I feel like he’s sad lonely or depressed and I feel bad. I’m thinking he needs company he needs other fish, but logically I know that’s not the case. I also have OCD which makes me over analyze every single thing. Is it possible for betta fish to feel lonely?

Bubble Nest

Our betta made his first bubble nest (since we’ve had him)!!!! We got him about a week ago and his colors have really came out. His fins are way more fanned out than when we got him too. Does that look like a bubble nest?? I read that’s a sign they are happy? He’s got a heavily planted, heated, 10 gallon with a filter as well! And a huge almond leaf!

Neocaridina shrimp

I am going to be adding shrimps to my 3 gallon shrimp tank this weekend. It is cycled with tons of plants. I have found many different opinions of proper temperature for them, so I am hoping to get more opinions on what temp you keep yours at, and how they do. I’ve read room temp is fine, I’ve had some say 79 like a betta tank, I’ve read some saying they don’t do well that high. Any insight please

Shrimp tank

I am wanting to make this tank a neocaridina tank. It has a filter, 3 gallons, and fully cycled. It has java moss, hornwort, and an almond leaf. No heater, so the temp should stay around 67-68 Fahrenheit. The top of the tank is growing chia seeds, wheatgrass seeds, and dill. Any advice on this setup? I was told about 2 shrimps per gallon to start? So 6 to start? Is that too much or too little? Do shrimps do okay with snails or would that bother them, or vice versa?

Betta Tank

I am cycling this new 10 g tank I’m making for a female betta.
Why would bubbles be forming in the surface? Is that part of the cycle? I’m currently in a nitrite spike 1ppm.

Advice/help

New tank setup for a betta. 10 gallon planted tank. It has a heater set to 80, and a baffle under the filter. Is this too much space taken up by plants/driftwood? We are planning on getting a female betta and I really want her to be happy in her home. It is nearing the end of the cycling process, so we are waiting on that before we get our fish. I also put in some almond leaves, so I’m hoping those will release some tannins.
