Where to go from here?

In 2025 I graduated with my bachelor’s in supply chain, albeit in my late 20’s. Upon graduating I couldn’t find a job in my field anywhere. So I went back to my old trade in CNC machining. I’ve been a machinist for a year now. While I don’t totally hate my job, I sometimes hate that I spent five years getting a degree and I haven’t even been able to use it yet. The job market has had me so discouraged that I kind of resigned my fate and gave up looking for corporate job. I get a lot of shit from my friends that I’m not using my degree, but I do make okay money. I don’t know what to do though.

What pisses me off is the people I went to high school with who graduated in their early 20’s had an easy time finding a good entry level job. And I graduated. It‘s my fault for not having my shit together when I was younger and doing college at the traditional age.

My question is where do I go from here? What advice can you give me?

Does EDMR actually work?

I have very traumatic background. I spend a lot of time thinking about my trauma. Shit I’m at work now and all I thought about this morning is repetitive thoughts about traumatic memories.

I start EDMR on Tuesday. Does it actually work for you or is it a waste of time? I really want freedom from my thoughts. It’s so EXHAUSTING thinking about this all day.

Dumb question. But anyone know what this means? Is it ready for a 4473?

I know it’s a dumb question but in these unknown times anyone know if this means all I need is a 4473? delete this if it’s not allowed.

My little Lyla when I rescued her from the shelter to six months later.

She’s come such a long way. When I got her she was disheveled, depressed, and had mycoplasma. But now she’s so much better. I love this sweet spooky cat!

My new 22 setup.

My friend gave me this can his company made for free. Who doesn’t love a free suppressor? I still had to pay for the transfer and do a form 4. It works awesome! Lyla approves.

Lyla also can’t wait for the suppressor to be approved.

Here‘s my new setup. Springfield Armory model 2020 rimfire target. I can’t wait for the form 4 on the suppressor for it to be approved!

Good rimfire scope?

Hi,

I ordered a Springfield Armory model 2020 rimfire as a suppressor host. I need to get a scope for it. What is a good scope for it in the $120-$250 price range?

Anyone leave the trades for college, then ended back in the trades?

I quit being a CNC machinist to go back to school years ago. Last year I obtained my bachelor’s in supply chain. After not being able to find a job in my field for months I accepted a position as a CNC machinist. I’ve been working this job for seven months now. I get a lot of shit from my friends and some of my family for not “using my degree”. But I’m making $28/hr and am honestly living pretty comfortably. I don’t hate my job at all and I get all the overtime I want. Plus I’m not bad at it. I worked 60 hours this week am and getting a fat paycheck. Those entry level business jobs don’t provide the money I’m making now and they don’t exist anymore. I’m okay with this despite what those close to me say.

has anyone had a similar experience?
