like i genuinely HATE being in a relationship but i loveeee the stage before so i guess im built for situationships but i literally crave the love i read about pls help

so basically me (m17) and my girlfriend (f17) have been dating for a few years now. however, we've been dealing with a lot of changes, what with the world being 5 years older and us being 5 seconds older and stuff.

this all started when i recently lost my father figure in the great infinity war II and i was left with these high tech glasses of his. it basically said it went to the next him. me being the idiot i was thought he didn't mean me, and instead meant for me to choose the right person to be the next him.

i met this guy from another planet, (m30s), who seemed to be a great hero and a genuinely nice guy— he gave me advice for both universal crime fighting and girls, which is how i gathered the courage to get with my curreng ex gf.

long story short, he turned out to be a really shitty guy and tried to kill me and my girlfriend, and destroyed a bunch of major cities in doing so. and in a final attempt to kill me, he ended up killing himself. and i thought it was over.

but then i found out he had revealed my secret identity to the entire world and told the whole world that i was the villain that killed him, which basically ruined the lives of me and everyone i was associated with. like, some of my friends couldn't even get into college anymore, just because they knew me!

to fix all this, i went to another guy i really looked up to and had bonded with throughout the blip. he was a super powerful wizard doctor and he said he could make everyone forget what was just revealed to everyone. but i kept interrupting his spell which lead to it misfiring, and it brought in a bunch of alternate universe versions of me into our universe.

this also lead to some interesting universal threats which we tried to fight off normally, but in the end i realised that i was the cause to the problem so i should be the one who sacrificed himself to fix it. i told my wizard doctor to make everyone forget me, so then all the problems would be fixed.

this also meant i had to break up with my girlfriend, but i had promised to find her after and make her remember me. however, i couldn't gather up the courage to do that. she just... seemed better off without me.

now her life seems great, she's at her dream uni with my bestfriend, and has this asshole boyfriend who seems really shady.

i really wanna try and get back with her though, any advice?
