Continuing contact after group therapy ends

Do you think it's ethically okay to become friends with someone once both of you are out of your IOP. I keep forgetting to ask my therapist about this, if you answer this question could you put if you're coming from a clinician or patient point of view

Have you successfully made friends as an adult?

Have you made friends as an adult that's not from work or college? If so where did you meet and do you still see each other regularly. I feel like everyone already has their groups. I want to become a regular somewhere but I just got a new job that makes it difficult

Coping with feeling unsafe

I don't know if this is the right place to post this so if someone knows a better place please let me know.

I unfortunately just had my mom at my apartment for an hour and now the place I call home and was my safe place feels so unsafe. It feels gross and I don't want to be in it and I don't know what to do to cope. I'm just bawling and can't calm down. I'm trying to use my grounding technique and it's helping a little, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice to help my home feel safe and like an actual home again.

Dating (Columbus area)

Where can I(23M) go to meet people who are open to dating trans men or even just be friends. I really just need a community I feel like I belong in. I've tried pride gamers and I didn't feel like I fit in. I joined the queer yoga group but I don't normally chat with anyone after the session is over. I don't really know how. I've tried going to AWOL but I don't drink alcohol and feel bad for taking a seat without spending a lot of money on alcohol. I tried a pottery class but the person I tried talking to never responded to me. I'm on hinge but no luck yet. I volunteer but haven't made any friends there either. I feel like I can't go to straight bars and pick up girls there because I feel like I'm just miss leading them since I don't have all surgeries done yet.

I want to start going to concerts and theatre shows and stuff like that more and am hoping my finances change and maybe I'll meet someone at one of the shows, but I'm so lost right now I really don't know what to do. I plan on possibly trying the queer climbing group but have never been rock climbing before.

Self hate

I'm newly diagnosed with autism and it's makes a lot of sense, but I hate myself for it. I was just wondering if anyone hates themself for being neurodivergent. It's frustrating because I would never hate someone else for having the same diagnosis, or just being neurodivergent, but I hate myself for it. I'm working on it but I just feel so alone with this.

Making friends Columbus area

Hello all,

I'm looking for suggestions on making friends as an adult. I (22M) live in the Columbus area. I've tried going to a ceramics class, bars, different social events, apps and haven't been able to make friends. I've envited a couple people to go hiking with me and nothing works out. I find it hard trying to be friends with cis males because I don't feel like I fit in with them and they lowkey scare me

I'm looking for people who are caring and empathetic. I enjoy hands on activities, hiking, and am willing to try anything. Theatre, simple game nights, movie nights, comedy, volunteering, anything I just want to make friends. I'm currently volunteering at a equine therapy barn but nothing has come from it. I've tried the lgbtq Columbus gamers but didn't feel like I fit in. I just want people to hangout with. I like doing daily activities with others because it just makes things more fun. If anyone has any suggestions I'm open to it.
