Why did he seek me out so much only to ghost me?

I’ve been talking to this guy I met off of Tinder about 2 months ago. We stopped talking in the middle for a bit (it was my bad, I stopped responding) but he kept checking in every week or so.

3 days ago, I finally reverted and apologised profusely for my absence as it wasn’t personal. I also initiated dinner plans for last night.

Finally, last night, we met. Honestly, the banter on text just wasn’t there in person. Secondly, as he was from the F&B industry, all he did was talk about food and cocktails. Honestly, super interesting but dude, ask me a question too every now and then. I don’t want a list of all the vineyards you’ve been to. He held some intense eye contact, barely smiled, and tried to throw in a pick up line somewhere that didn’t really land.

I on the other hand, kept asking questions, kept the conversation flowing, laughed a bunch to take the pressure off. He did admit that this was his first date in about 2 years so I understand the apprehensive and I did give him grace for it too.

I offered to pay because he was between jobs, but he insisted to split so I agreed. Only mentioning this because he gave me a really weird look when I offered to me, that disappeared in a second.

Anyway, once done, he wanted to hit another bar but I said I have work the next day (which is true) and offered to meet again of the weekend to which he agreed. I asked him to text me once he reached home (as he lived further away from the place than I did). He didn’t text me. I had to check in about an hour later to which he said “hiii, sorry, yes, I reached 20 minutes ago.”

Since then, no text. For someone to really seek me out the last two months, to radio silence - feels weird. I feel like my ego is bruised a bit to be honest. Something I need to really work on, but on the other hand I am just really curious to know what’s up.

A doobie a night + munchies - ruining the clean eating progress during the day [Discussion]

Hi everyone,

I’m struggling with clean eating as explained in the title. Breakfast and lunch are always healthy for the most part, but after a long day of work, the doobie at night hits different.

I tried switching to healthier snacking options but it’s not what I’m eating as much as the quantity I’m eating.

I’m looking for tips that could help me work on this better.

New to poly and new to expectations setting.

I (25F) am currently seeing a man (28M) who has a primary partner (26F). It’s been about 2 months since we’ve been hanging out, and while I haven’t physically met his girlfriend, we’re all aware of each other.

I’m new to polyamory, and im trying to make sense of some things. While it’s not jealousy, I think I’m looking for more affection, and interest. Maybe these feelings have been aggravated given that I’m new to the whole setting.

I want to understand what it’s like from you all? How do you manage expectations? It is wrong to seek more affection, knowing fully well that you’re not a primary partner? I’m unsure how to navigate this.
