Did earlier generations handle stress better?

I went to a tcm doctor who told me I have a lot of problems that come from stress, "because the young generation doesn't know how to handle stress".

I think we are living in different circumstances (digital always on culture, isolation, financial stuff, climate anxiety etc.) and what we now call mental health struggles used to be called shotgun accident or heavy drinking - but I am (sincerely) curious about what the "young" (mid thirties) generation could learn from previous ones. Let's say age 60+.

Gefrierschrank überfüllt, Meal Prep wegschmeißen?

Hey Leute,

Was denkt ihr?

Overcrowded freezer

Hey gang,

I made 12 days worth of meal prep for my dog last night and put 9 of those in the freezer. It's cooked beef, rice and carrots, pureed. The freezer only had a few bits inside and the 9 containers (around 500ml silicone boxes each) went in at room temp after cooling on the counter for around 2h. It was chock full but the door seemed to close okay.

This morning, around 11h after freezing, I took out an ice cube tray I had put in at the same time and it was partly liquid. Frozen on top and water below. I checked the food and it's slushy, not solid.

My dog has a sensitive stomach and recurring liver problems, so I usually err on the side of caution. At the same time, it's 9 days worth of food that took me a total of 7h to make staying up until 2.30am, so I don't want to be overly cautious if it's not necessary. But my effort and frustration don't cancel out potential bacterial growth.

I'm wondering if the overcrowding led to the freezer being less efficient and thus risking the food sitting at an unsafe temperature for an indeterminable amount of time.

Toss or keep? Thoughts?

Can you see pins one at a time?

For my vision board to be effective and not just another source of overwhelm I would love to be able to swipe or scroll through my board and only see one pinned image at a time, is this possible?

Chinese for tea lovers

Super niche request probably but I would love to grow tea-specific vocabulary in Mandarin so I can learn more about the Chinese teas I love whose information isn't available in English.

Has any fellow nerd made an Anki set by any chance?

What was this in my tea?

I found this feather like object in a tin of bitan piaoxue jasmine tea leaves, it's about 3cm (bit over an inch) - does anyone know what this is and if it's still safe to make tea with this batch?

edit: probably a down feather hence probably discarding :(

Hi friends! Since quitting coffee 2 years ago my caffeine tolerance is such that if I have green tea at any other time than morning, I can't sleep. If I'm already stressed I can't have it at all. Watch me get the jitters from two cups of jasmine green tea.

I know that matcha has a high L-Theanine content but obviously also a ton (for me) of caffeine, is there such a thing as a high L-Theanine low caffeine tea?
