Exposures with a 120 year old camera, kentmere 100

First of all, I have to be gratefull I was able to figure out the right developing for this roll, nuked the previous roll but thanks to the advice I recieved I was able to figure out that the developing time was too high, this roll was developed with rodinal 1 + 25, 6 minutes dev, 4 minutes fixer. The camera in question is my lovely Kodak autographic junior no. 2a. Which takes 120 film. These results amaze me, im so grateful I am able to operate 120 year old cameras successfully, you can actually see me in the third picture haha. Feedback on technical skill is appreciated. However, I am quite satisfied with these shots, though FP4+ might be a bit better than kentmere.

Was my film x-rayed???

photo number 4 was taken with expired BW film on the same camera, but definetly not x-rayed just so yall can compare. I used an old Kodak Autographic junior, 120 format. These 3 initial shots were taken on kentmere 100 and I metered for each shot and accounted for the US units since this camera doesnt use traditional F stops, Thing is, I flew through Porto airport and asked for a hand check which supposedly was granted to me, but this grain seems too altered, I developed with rodinal, 1+25, 9 minutes 10 seconds, 4 minutes fixer, fresh fixer mix. I need to know because I have 3 unused rolls of kentmere 100 that I took through in the airport aswell, but if everything was x-rayed those 3 rolls are probably wasted and I am gonna shoot an old-timey event with one of these folding cameras so then that film would be ruined. Need help asap

How can I be a karen at the airport and make sure my valuable photos arent x-rayed

Going to fly from Porto airport, ive had mixed success, 2 years ago they flat out refused under 800 ISO, last year they hand checked my film when I chose to walk though the CT scanner.

When it comes to my photos im really defensive, and I dont pay taxes for nothing. Any intimidation tactics? We're talking about ektachrome and provia!! (Aswell as 4 rolls of kentmere 100 35mm and 120 format)

My first ever bikepacking trip, as an 18 year old. 1200km

This funny "little" idea popped in my head around december of last year. Without much knowledge or budget I decided to go for it, I trained for 4 months throughout the winter, however I only realized I was locking in my decision when I bought my beauty of a Trek checkpoint ALR4. (Which by the way was over-loaded with 2 film cameras, a tripod, and a lot of clothes probably making the bags weigh in total 45-50kg? Yeah, noticeable mistake.) LOL

The reality of things started to settle, giving the news to my parents wasnt easy, (they wefe quite astonished), but they took it well and even helped me out here and there. Hence, June 17th I left Norway for Hirtshals, Denmark. It wasnt until July 14th that I would be done with my amazing journey.

I cant complain, there were days with awfull storms where I thought my tent would fly away, some roads that exceeded the gravel capabilities of my bike and worst of all the blazing hot sun, forcing me to ride during the afternoon/morning. However, I also had truly memorable moments, such as being interviewed (twice), eating free food (multiple times) and sleeping right by a Medieval castle in Holland.

Best of all were the people I met on the road, (mostly old people with e-bikes) but still lovely individuals, from scientists to fashion designers to fellow unemployed teens. I have to admit, I was a bit scared to do such trip, however, life in Norway for me had grown far too dull and monotone, my mental health was declining and I wanted a way out, a way to escape the misery of that life. I feel proud that I managed storms and massive logistical issues such as shipping my bike back to Norway by packing it at a Decathlon store. (Yes this worked surprisingly), and then taking a bus to see my extended family in Spain. Now im scared to go back to this same monotone life I despise. Even if I could roll out on an adventure for a weekend someplace special, damn. I am definetly doing another trip when I amass some more money. (Yep, I spent ALL of my savings.)

TL TR: Im extremely grateful for the opportunity to travel in the manner of bikepacking.

Abandoned medieval castle shot on expired film

I took these photos on kodachro- nahh just kidding. With Fujifilm NPS 160 from 2004. Freezed all the way. I have 3 rolls left. Any funky subject ideas? Such a nice moderated stock

Does somebody know/recognize these dutch fellas?

Id like to give them the photo directly, met them near Eindhoven. They were bikepacking through Holland and live in Holland. I came from Norway all the way down to Holland and on to France. I remember the guy on the blue shirt was named Vinfred. Cant remember the name of the guy with the black shirt.

I couldnt get their info because a storm was coming and we wanted to get a head start on it

If anyone has any clue please do tell me, thanks!

Figuring out how to shoot expired E6 on a folding camera

So I bought about 6 rolls of mixed provia/ektachrome from 98' to like 2001. (About condition, some of it was cold freezed, some might have not, I bought from 2 different sellers. All the films felt cold once I unboxed them so hopefully they have been freezed all the way, I put them in my freezer ever since I bought them). I love shooting with my folding cameras but slide film is definetly gonna be a challenge. Since I cant adjust ISO I might have to do it another way.

I read that the best way to develop slide film is to shoot accounting for the decades, so in this case +2, but then on development pull -2 to get rid of the fogging and color shifts.

I mainly need tips on how to shoot this film and get those +2 stops I need on a folding camera. Usually I use the Zeiss Ikonta 520/2

I do not mind weird color shifts, I just hope for propperly exposed photos with usable results that enhance the curiosity of the photo itself. Any advice is appreciated.

Testing out gear in preparation for a 37 day EU trip, come with feedback

So with the bike fully loaded my average speed was 17-18km/h with several hills and no tailwind, 20km/h on the return with some tailwind behind me. My neck and wrists started hurting, otherwise im fine. Sleeping shook the pain off, but it did come back after about 30km. My hope is that since Germany (east frisia), NL/Belgium are so flat ill be able to do several more KM without suffering from upphills, since they lowk taking the life out of me slowly.

I might just rotate the handlebar a bit more upwards, otherwise im happy with my speed, with tailwind on totally flat sections I migjt be able to do like 22km/h. My biggest fear is hurting my neck/wrists to the point where I cant keep going on

Help me figure how much film I am going to shoot this summer

So I am travelling by bike for a whopping 37 days across Europe, my current stock consists of: 3x Fujichrome provia 120, 3x Kodak ektachrome 120, 1x Kodak Verichrome (1975 skull), 7x Fuji NPS 160 35mm

However all of this is expired film really, and id like to moderate the risk by buying fresh film, (although ridicolously expensive), I love to shoot ilford fp4+, so that is a must. ive also shot fomapan 200 on 35mm and I liked the results if I overexposed by a stop, color is my biggest and most expensive issue. I want to buy a roll of Harman red (a bit expensive but OK) for the abandoned factories in Charleroi, aswell as perhaps some normal fuji 200/similar film stock. I cant afford portra.

How many 120 and 35mm rolls do you guys think I need to buy so I am set? Budget is at like 50 bucks right now because I have margins to keep.
