Is there a legal definition of "housing retention plan" as defined by section 8, public housing, HUD, etc.?

My lease states that a housing retention plan must be set in place prior to the landlord seeking eviction. It does not define what that is. In California

Missing your car?

Is anyone missing a white Kia or a red Nissan with black panels on the driver side? Been parked over here for 2 months or so, and parking is getting tough. I don't wanna call city to have towed but I also don't want to park a mile away because of no parking.

Identifying shoe print

This is not AI, a meme, or a low effort post. I am genuinely asking.

Identify this sneaker print. Go!

Missing my girl so much right now

Her name is Daisy and she was 33% chihuahua. These were her most favorite toys. Especially that chicken and lobster. She's in the cedar box behind the squirrel, which was the first thing I ever bought her. I wish I could go back to that day.

Housing choice voucher v. Project based voucher

Is a housing choice voucher the same thing as a section 8 voucher? And if so, do you choose where you live, granted that place accepts the voucher?

I applied for what I thought was section 8 back in 2022. I successfully got myself onto the waitlist. Some way or another I also ended up on a project based voucher waitlist. So I was actively on 2 waitlists. Between then and now, I had applied to live at a new community that was being built. I met the income limits and moved in when it opened up.

The project based voucher was for the community I'm currently living in, however, I was still on the waitlist because I had to wait for a unit to open up. The unit im living in is not one of the units selected for any vouchers.

I got a letter in the mail saying due to occupancy requirements, I was not eligible for the project based voucher and removed from that waitlist.

My question is, why would the housing authority place a 2-person household up against a unit that has occupancy requirements of more than 2 people? It makes no sense. My application has always been for myself and one other person. As of right now its still showing im active on the housing choice voucher waitlist, but no longer active on the project based voucher list.

Chlorine leak at Segerstrom High School

"Joint Statement from City of Santa Ana and Santa Ana Unified School District

SANTA ANA, Calif. - Earlier today, the Santa Ana Unified School District identified a chlorine release from a storage tank in the pool area at Segerstrom High School. A portion of the chlorine release entered the local storm drain system.

The District immediately notified the City of Santa Ana, and the two agencies initiated a coordinated response. Working together with a licensed environmental response contractor, emergency crews quickly isolated the affected area and began containment, recovery, and cleanup operations.

As part of the response, specialized crews flushed the affected storm drain line and vacuumed the resulting water and residual material for proper collection and disposal in accordance with applicable environmental regulations. The Santa Ana Unified School District and the City of Santa Ana worked alongside the contractor throughout the response to support these efforts.

Response teams also evaluated whether any of the released material had reached the Orange County flood control channel. The assessment confirmed that the release was successfully contained within the local storm drain system and did not reach the County flood control channel.

At this time, there is no ongoing chlorine release, and officials have confirmed there is no danger to the surrounding community. Cleanup activities will continue until response officials determine that all affected portions of the storm drain system have been properly addressed. The District and the City will also evaluate the incident to identify any additional measures that may help prevent similar occurrences in the future.

The City of Santa Ana and the Santa Ana Unified School District appreciate the prompt and coordinated efforts of District staff, City personnel, and the environmental response contractor. Protecting public health, public safety, and the environment remains our highest priority, and we are committed to keeping the community informed should additional information become available."

Does TTEC ever contact you by text message to set up interview?

Received text from some weird area code number. The position is supposed to be remote but the person said it's on-site. They also said East Coast instead of using EST for time.
