How is the award free?

I recently had my first post that got a substantial amount of reach, and I got my first award. It says “Free” though, and when I try to award a post it costs 15 of whatever the currency is. How did he get free awards, and is it possible for me to get them too?

I thought I met a fellow believer today. I was wrong.

Once I saw a man on a bridge about to jump

I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?"

He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What denomination?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?"

He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!"

Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.

Favorite photo from Osaka, Kyoto, and Japan

I took a 1-month vacation to Japan, and during that time I got to see a lot of beautiful sights. This is one picture from each of the 3 cities/prefectures I visited during my trip, picked as my favorite scenery from each.

The first picture was from a street outside my hotel, Conrad Osaka. I think the row of hanging lamps adds a really nice touch to it, and adds some flair to the general cityscape.

The second picture is personally my top pick. I went to the Kyoto Imperial Palace and found a small section of nature that I thought would fit as a fantastic aesthetic. I also got these new shoes in a store in Kyoto, they are very nice :)

The third picture includes the side of the Sensoji Temple as a foreground and a path before the luscious backdrop mountains. The people in the crowd are a little extra touch that my other two photos didn’t include.

My first take about Japan during my stay is that the overall landscape is very beautiful, and I can see why so many people choose to be tourists here every day.

My favorite photo from Japan

I got my new shoes in Kyoto, Japan, for better comfort on my trip. Seeing how beautiful the sights in Japan are, I decided to show them off against a nice scenic background. I chose this nice natural reservoir in the Imperial palace, and I love the aesthetic it’s created.

The shoes are Brooks Ghost Max 3, replacing my old Nike Quest 5. I’ve already walked in these for about 8 hours in the ~60 hours I’ve had them for, and they feel great. My choice was heavily influenced from being flat footed, my worst enemy being suffering in pain every time I have to stand and wait in a long line. I hope it was my best choice :)
