Fusion apparently has a hidden dark gray theme!

I was bored the other night and was poking around at the Text Commands in Fusion to just see what all was there.

One of the commands I stumbled upon is Debug.showThemeConsole. This opens a little window that has a couple different theme options and one of them is a dark gray theme!

If you want to try it you can paste this into the text commands Options.Set WeaveTheme weave-dark-gray. It doesn't persist Fusion sessions so I created an add-in that applies it when Fusion launches.

BE CAREFUL if you decide to explore the other operations!!

I thought it was an exciting little find and wanted to share!

I used Claude to help build a simple artifact/app for planning my wife and I's nursery layout!

I mostly use Claude for Claude Code, but sometimes I forget how nice and convenient it is to use the app to build out simple artifacts to help with other projects.

My wife's a very visual person and when we were planning to remodel one of our rooms for our new nursery I decided to build a simple (very unpolished) artifact in Claude to allow us to visualize different picture frame moulding options for our walls, as well as sconce placement and other things. It also helped us to roughly estimate the cost of the project.

I manually entered the dimensions and Claude did the rest! Everything should be adjustable and there's a simple 3D preview to help get a feel for the space as well.

It definitely saved a lot of, "Well what if we did it like this?"...

I'll be revisiting this workflow for future projects!

Here's the artifact if anyone wants to check it out, again not pretty but got the job done- MouldingDrafter.jsx - Claude

The blue lights were for 'calmness', we're having a girl!

PopSuite - a screen annotation and key stroke vizualizer I've been working on for a while!

Hey!

PopSuite — PopJot + PopKey - Functional live web demo.

So, this has been a side project that I've been working on and off with for a while now. I like to record video tutorials for YouTube and never quite found a screen annotation app that I found worked well for me, so I set out and made my own! I wanted something quick, snappy and less clunky than the current offerings.

It originally started out as PopJot which was just the radial menu tool for drawing on the screen then I took it further and developed PopKey as the sister app to also visualize mouse and keyboard interactions.

After tinkering with both for a while I figured it made more sense to fold them into a single app, PopSuite.

So far I'm super excited with its progress, definitely have a lot of fine tuning to do still. It's built with Electron and is designed to work with Win/MacOS/Linux. Currently I've only been able to test it on Windows 11.

The main features are-

PopJot has a primary menu with 6 slices:

History - use last tool
Marker - A thick, slightly sloppy stroke
Pen - A thin precise stroke
Highlighter - A wide translucent stroke
Eraser - Eraser...
Whiteboards - Either light or dark with line or dot grid options for a completely blank space to... ...jot...

Primarily, PopJot is only active while a shortcut is held, so you can get straight to your annotation and then release it to get back to work. There's a persistent mode if you want PopJot to stay active until you ESC out of it.

PopKey is just simple on-screen overlays of key presses and mouse interactions. You can easily customize the positioning and look. I do want to work toward better displaying text, so if you input a large number or type a word, it's a single badge instead of a cascade of individual bades.

PopSuite is Functional Source License (FSL-1.1-MIT) — fair source so you can get it off GitHub and make it your own if you want, just not resell it. There is a "Pro" version that will have some more bells and whistles for customization, but none of the functionality will be withheld.

I'd love some feedback if anyone has some, it's intended to be just a fun, simple app to help folks annotate and explain things on screen. Sorry for the video quality, something I threw together real quick and realize I'll need a better presentation.

Thanks!

Likely 90s-style gold necklace

A shot in the dark. I found this necklace about 15-20 years ago and gave it to my mom. A few years ago she gave it back to me and suggested I try to sell it.

I don't know much about it aside from some of the markings on it:

585

L

Italy

14k

I used a cheap diamond tester on the stones and it beeped. I'd suspect they're likely diamonds or could be moissanite.

Does anyone recognize it and happen to know the maker?

Thanks!

Help with 3D Print "lock off" with Osmo Pocket 3

Hello!

I'm looking to use my OP3 to record timelapses of some of my 3D prints.

I did a simple test when about 2 weeks ago when I first got it.

Omso Pocket Test Print - YouTube

Around 34/35 seconds I noticed the lens kind of sagged.

Any advice on how to set this up to be more stationary with the gimble and focus?

Thanks!
